Triax, a star light-years away from Earth, is one of many solar systems in the universe that houses life. Triax has three planets - Laidan, the closest and most populous. Argos, the second and rockiest.. and Frigis, the third and coldest of the planets. Only Laidan currently supports life. In the Triax system, one thing exists due to the star's properties that doesn't exist in our own solar system: magic. With the magic comes good and evil intentions, and some of these intentions can cause catastrophic events, such as the dimensional void caused by an ill-fated sorcerer in one of the Laidan towns...

Triax is the first full game I ever made with RPG Maker (way back in 2002), and even arguably my best to this date. Below are some of the features of the game:

- Collectible gemstones, which are also used as an item to increase character stats. Collect enough of them and you get rewards from the people inside the gemstone house in Capturnia.

- Lots of custom shops in the world's "capital," including weapon customizing and alchemy used to make special equipment or items.

- Plenty of optional off-shoots to find ultimate equipment & gemstones. This includes the typical searching/exploring, winning certain mini-games or visiting certain areas, and even a trading market.

- Almost every town has a playable mini-game.

I'm not sure exactly how long the game is in terms of hours but on the RM2K engine you'll likely have your players no lower than level 40 by game's end, and more likely they'll be well into the 40s.

Sounds very interesting, when will the download be up?
Should be pretty soon, looking back seven years I realize the game has some fairly complex pathing lol so I'm going to include a little cheat sheet, so to speak. Just about what paths to take where and all.
Cool. Look forward to playing it.
Haha thanks, the game should be up pretty soon.
I tried to download this but received a window full of Failure to extract messages.

Is there a problem with the file? I'd like to know because this looks pretty interesting, and I'd like to try it out.
Hmm, I just downloaded it myself and I didn't have any issues at all with it. All I did with it was just imported all the RTP used and zipped using 7zip, so hopefully it was just a website issue. I'd try downloading again, because I've had the same issue with another game or two and re-downloading them worked out pretty well.
Yay! Its up! I thought I subscribed, hmm. Well no matter. Will review when finished!
Hey. I got that error too. I'm using WinRAR. Is there a problem with the file? I fully reccomend using WinRAR though, its much easier for me than 7Zip
That's odd. I'll give it another shot. Might be something up with the zip file or whatnot.. it's weird though that the download link says 7.1MB and my download file was 6.5MB.
I've updated the download now. Hopefully it works properly. I still saved it as a ZIP but I used WinRAR this go-around.
Cool! Thanks! I can't wait to begin my Triax adventures. :P
Good good, do post back and let me know what you think. Interested to see how this project stands the test of time. I was 17 when I completed it. ^_^
I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but after the first scene with Cyril, the game freezes.
mine ran smoothly through that. Dunno
Shucks. It's a shame seeing so many issues with the download! Any error messages with those things happening?
I'm gonna give this a go when I get the time; I've seen the title many, many times so I think I've tried it before but I didn't realize it was finished
Yeah, this game's been around on various RPG Maker sites since 2002, but I think because I'm generally not real into the community, it's been sort of a "hidden" title. Most people who I ran into that played it though seemed to like it decently enough, aside from the obscene difficulty at times up front (which has been alleviated in this version).
