Biggles In Mars is an adventure game by catmitts. You play as Rupert Bigglesworth, a shy but mighty Lego character who has trouble getting a job on a quest to save the world. Ride in his majestic bi-plane and see beautiful sites like Dinosaur Island(from a distance)!

Gameplay
Like all of catmitt’s games, this is entirely adventure style gameplay… except for the one bit that isn’t. This game branches out more than other catmitt games with conversation-based puzzles and items that change attributes by your choice. I loved the plane scene and giant robot scene especially. There was one bit that was ridiculously un-guessable, but the rest was fair and really fun.

Story
The story in this game is much longer then any other of catmitt’s games that I’ve played. It takes you through a variety of interesting locations and has many cutscene-style bits. It’s a fun but fairly short story(long for a catmitt game) that guides the game along well.
4/5

Characters
There was a whole cast of interesting characters. Biggles is a very well characterized lead, and every other character was well written and loaded with personality. The dialogue is really funny as in all of catmitt’s games.

Graphics
The Lego characters and cardboard buildings made for a clean, inventive and presentable style whilst still having a lot of charm. The world map-style place was especially awesome. The way certain scenes were shown from different angles was really nice as well and really added to the experience.

Audio
The music in this game was well used and very catchy. It added a lot to the atmosphere, although some of the joke songs were inaudible. There are no sound effects.

Overall
I’ve now played all but 2 of catmitt’s games, and this one is by far my favourite. It doesn’t have as much of that “loljokegame” feel as some of his other games, and the graphics are very nice on the eyes. The gameplay sticks to the genre(almost) but still manages to be different. I don’t know why this game isn’t more popular!

Some may think my final score is a bit excessive. But the game really is fun, and it runs only as long as it has to. I was so disappointed when I got to what I thought was the end and it really added something to it for me when it kept going. I really recommend you, whoever you may be, give it a go.

Thanks for the review, I'm glad you liked it! The world map was my favourite part too haha. It's longer because it was developed for a two-month contest which gave me room to stretch whereas with most of the other games they were generally completed in less than a week (two weeks for paul moose),
