Valthirian Arc is a game developed with Lucidrine. The Player takes on the role of the Principal of an Academy in a magical fantasy world, known as Valthiria, and takes on the role of overseeing the training of the students and managing the school itself, teaching the young warrior and mage apprentices to cast magic and wield weaponry.
Enroll new students, train them, grade them up, give them examinations, take care of their mood, accept quests from nearby villagers, and make your Academy the most famous, prestige Academy of Valthiria!
Valthirian Arc Features System-Generated Characters to populate your academy, so there are hundreds of possibility of what your students become. The map is also Generated, you won't encounter the same field each battle :).

CloseBug report! It's possible to generate a hunt where the students are cut off from the rest of the map. I put a screenshot at http://rpgmaker.net/users/DFalcon/locker/valthirian.png (the open-looking corner is of course not passable).

I hope there's a Valthirian Arc 2! Graphics and music were very nice, the sim aspect was an interesting idea of the sort I like to see.
Innovation is tough, though, and I don't think the gameplay really panned out on this one. Hunts suffer in particular from the combination of a couple things:
a) The sim part of the game greatly rewards the player for taking hunts slow in order to have one character (typically the lowest-leveled character) do as much of the fighting as possible, because the bulk of LP goes to whoever does damage.
b) Hunts are really easy to take slow. A single level 1 Mana Scholar can beat most relevant hunts if they survive the initial rush of monsters who happen to be in aggro range of the deployment point. (In particular orcs and wolves - seraphs would be somewhat trickier.)

Yes, there's a VA2 with the original plans in mind going to be executed, there'll be more classes and skill usage, I just hope I can get to work on it with them again! 'w')

I totally cheesed that damn apprentice with a lvl 16 gunslinger (only one who survived the initial rush) and a conveniently placed body of water. He went up something like 10 levels afterwards :D.
Before that, I tried to cheese him with a lone surviving lvl 1 female apprentice and another body of water. It was like using a plastic spoon to dig a grave (I gave up after an hour or so)

Am i dumb or there is absolutely no way to actuall download this and play in full screen so that my eyes won't die in the process of playing? :D Nice game though, I'm having fun with it.

well, you could if you had firefox and just save the .swf file from the Page Info > Media, but, your score won't go to the main board so that kinda defeats the purpose, unless you don't mind.
