First things first, if you downloaded the demo when it first dropped, I've made some critical bugfixes, as well as some small changes. I'd recommend re-downloading the game if you have a download other than 'looming-spire-demo-1.2'! Don't worry, your old save file should still work if you already started playing.

Secondly, friendly reminder to vote in the 2022 Misao awards! Vote for who you think deserves to win, but also, I would be remiss not to point out that The Looming Spire was nominated for Most Promising Demo! So... uh, vote!

Lastly, reception of the demo has been much better than I could've hoped, and I've been getting tons of really awesome feedback. Extremely grateful to everyone who has played so far and been kind enough to share their thoughts and experiences over discord or through comments. Above all, it just means a ton to me, but it also has really helped me gain some perspective on the game: what works, what doesn't, how people respond to certain things, etc. I've been too close to the problem for too long that I have sorta lost the forest for the trees and having other people play the game has been very validating. Lesson learned, though, I should've gotten people playing this sooner maybe!

Future plans, no more demos will be made! Next thing I release will be the full game, bar none. I won't begin to try giving an estimated timeline, because I've tried that (checks this blog) at least three separate times now and I have failed to meet that every time! So I won't do that again. But I will say I have more momentum on this project than ever and I am very motivated to see it through to the end.
