Hey guys, I posted a new video last night for those of you who aren't aware of it yet. It's in the video section. It's the first part of the Firam Palace chapter. There's a couple new screenshots posted of it as well. Additional info available at my Production Blog - www.rewyong.com/ej/

I have watched your video. Here is my feedback, mostly comments about what I saw:
- Nice floor tiles for the palace.
- What's the deal with the lamps on the floor?
- Nice fountain animation. Too bad you didn't include a little of effect for it.
- I noticed the guards have slanted mouths.
- Nice detail of adding glasses to King Jargon. Otherwise he would a RTP Rip.
- I find it amazing that Floo is the most fluent speaker of the party. He sticks out his tongue while talking though, doesn't he?
- Nice snout you put on Prince Elium (you must have left out the H from his name on purpose!).
- All the King's people are so nice, not!
- I guess the party was guilty by association.
- Nice background music for the dungeon.
- Having to share the bucket with Floo must be fun!
- You have some nice, expressive facesets for Sparrow, Floo and Phillip.
- Also, the faceset you used for Sueto is unfamiliar to me.
- Why does the evil king often live in a desert?
- I like your miniature part of the city of Hiram kingdom.
- I guess Sueto called the Flobos hippies. Yet somehow his hair is now short at the back ...
- I noticed how he didn't mention how he ended up living in Flogle.
- You have a couple of typing mistakes here and there in your video's dialogue. Also, you seem to have confused utmost with upmost (consider that a freebie!).
- I guess Sueto is suffering from Stockholm syndrome, even though he's not quite a hostage
- You cut the video in the right spot, making me curious what would happen next.

Wow! Thanks for all of the feedback edchuy! I'm going to try to reply to some of those:
-By lamps on the floor, do you mean the white vases? Those are just for decoration. They seemed to fit the chipset well. *shrug*
-What would you suggest for the fountain? I tend to try to keep effects (like lighting etc) to a minimum. I've always found stuff like that distracting in rm games.
-In regards to the facesets, the majority have been customized for EJ. I think roco designed that style originally (with blue backgrounds), and there were a lot of generic ones I could use as a base for each new face I wanted, where I simply modified hair colors etc and added clothes to each to match their charsets. With the soldiers I was going for kind of a neutral expression. I'll probably go through some of the facesets at some point and make some tweaks. With Jargon, I don't think roco ever designed faces for the people2 chipset, so I designed that whole faceset via the method I metioned. Sueto is custom as well.
-The hippies Sueto was referring to is actually supposed to be his parents (hence why he grew up with long hair). I rewrote some of that dialogue that kind of explained that originally to trim down the flashback sequence. I'll look at the dialogue again and see if I can slip something about that in there. He also grew up in Flogle.
-Ooh thanks for catching that spelling error. Upmost/utmost is one of those phonetic things that I probably wouldn't have noticed.
Feel free to check out some of my other youtube videos if you haven't already!!

The slow walking speed and slow text bother me. It's the number 1 thing that ruins potential games imo.
UGH I've been waiting for someone to comment about that. The text speed is that way because a lot of commercial games use a similar speed to that (Chrono Trigger, Animal Crossing for example). It's always been a preference thing, but once you've been playing a game for a while that uses that speed of text, you get used to it.
My simple answer is... get used to it or don't play it. Speed 2 looks far more professional.
EJ has a run key though, so if you like the faster walk speed, by all means use the run key. The only issue with that I've found is that by pressing the run key repeatedly during walk over events, it can cancel out the event. I'm trying to find a coding workaround for it, but there might not be one.

How is slowing the game down professional let alone a case of preference? But whatever I guess I'll play it in the editor, use shift and hope the run key gets fixed. *mumble mumble*

Here's a few clarifications regarding your reply:
I didn't realize those were vases. I thought to myself, since those are lamps, shouldn't they be on a table? I guess since they don't have flowers or something to distinguish them, similar to the pots of plants next to them, you can understand my confusion.
What I seem to have forgotten to type about the fountain was the sound effect of falling water. Although, you would only have it when standing close to the fountain. I don't know if this can be realistically done, but it would make sense.
Yeah, your facesets are somewhat familiar but definite mods of the standard RTP ones in one way or another.
Now that you mention it, Sueto's parents being hippies would explain why he grew up with the flobos in Flogle.
Yeah, English is a tricky language! Don't worry, spelling and sometimes grammar mistakes seem to plague games to some extent, here in RMN. Try to do your best, though.
Regarding text speed, now that it has been mentioned, I don't mind as long as it's not too slow. It helps that you don't have text that produces a sound effect as it appears. I guess your game will have text that you need to press action to move forward to next dialogue ... What's really annoying as well is when dialogue autoscrolls too quickly for one to read.
I'll make sure to take a look at the others videos as well once I'm done with my project.
