Bradyrules
Interview with Thrusen
After our discussion with Daniel, meet up with the renowned mage Thrusen on the other side of Tar’ Jahri.
Bradyrules: Hello, Thrusen is it? It’s great to have you today.
Thrusen: It’s good to be on.
Bradyrules: Thrusen, what are you doing over here away from the other party members?
Thrusen: The Priestess told us to get prepared before returning to her, so while they get to know each other I am over here buying necessary supplies.
Bradyrules: I see, so what do you think of your party? As the oldest are you the decision maker? Do you consider yourself the wisest? Do you have trouble keeping up with them?
Thrusen: My friends, although they can be rather… annoying at times, are like family to me. That… Daniel I believe it is… he is so arrogant. He thinks that he is smarter, stronger, and faster than any of us and I will not make the same mistake as him by saying I am better than any of the others. If he keeps this up, he will get himself killed. I wouldn’t say that I am the leader, but I do have experience which comes with age.
Bradyrules: As a mage, what sort of powers do you have?
Thrusen: I don’t have many of my own powers, I learn powers from monsters.
Bradyrules: How do you do that?
Thrusen: My own spells aren’t to destroy the enemy, but rather learn his moves and use his own power against him.
Bradyrules: I see. So what are you actually doing? Where are you going?
Thrusen: I am going with the party to aid them with their master of soul’s quest. I find it quite intriguing and mysterious. I hope to uncover a mystery and possibly do some good in the world. There is always such little good and so much evil. To have a part in vanquishing any evil we encounter would make me very happy. Unfortunately, we can never really win. In all my days, all the evil I have seen defeated, it is never truly gone. As one evil falls another rises, the side of what we consider good, right, and civilized can never truly win.
Bradyrules: That really is unfortunate. And of course what about your past? I hear you are from a faraway land. What did you do as a boy up until your master of soul’s quest?
Thrusen: Well I don’t have all day, and I am sure you wouldn’t want the long and boring history of my entire life, which I wouldn’t say is boring but it’ s nothing amazing. I come from a faraway land, where of course, I was a mage. I have ventured to your lands for the master of souls quest and to hopefully finally have an interesting highlight in my long life, a story to tell grandchildren.
Bradyrules: And what will you do after your quest is complete? Will you go back to your homeland or stay here?
Thrusen: That is a good question. I haven’t yet decided for myself. It really depends on what happens along the way, and of course I will have to find out more about what the task ahead of me is before I start thinking about the future.
Bradyrules: And finally, is there anyone in your party that you don’t really like?
Thrusen: No, no they are all good people. Everyone has their flaws, but they are good people. The only thing is Pete doesn’t seem to trust me at all. He looks at me as if I am a strange old man and whispers about me behind my back.
Bradyrules: I don’t see the need for that. You seem like a very civilized man, unlike jthe rest of them. Well, thank you very much for your time.
Thrusen: Not a problem at all. Thank you for having me.
Thrusen returns to buying items for the party’s quest, strangely he is only buying items for himself. I smile and walk away, determined to find Christina, then Pete, and then get out of here. Something strange is going to happen…
Alright folks, happy holidays, and enjoy the game! Only two more interviews left from Act I and then I'll be taking a break from these untlil the release date of Act II comes close!
