I think he means that the RTP graphics, including the background, do not fit at all with the custom graphics of the characters and frogs.

Hmm this is probably the worst area I could have chosen to take a battle screen cap from, since it just uses enemies from surrounding areas that weren't really meant to be shown together. The frogs originally belong in a forest area, I can see how that doesn't fit with the backdrop. As far as lack of meshing between the battler sprites: I don't really see it, but then I don't have an eye for that sort of thing. Considering this game will wind up needing 200+ battle graphics, I'm not sure I'll be able to completely avoid that either.

Well, I don't quite have an eye for these things either so you might not want to take my word for it :) I guess the RTP monsters are a bit more... cartoony than the characters. However, if you removed the frogs it would be passable. The background and the characters aren't really an issue, it's just between the two types of enemies. PS, I just downloaded the game and it's really good! Loved the intro.

Patsy isn't their name (that's why you get to rename them), but rather a joke as to their role. They're dolls controlled by the main character.
