doctor brown looks more female than male...

I know...
I'm not very good at drawing male characters = =
He's probably the most masculine looking men I've ever drawn so far though.
At the beginning Dr Brown was a female character, but I felt it would be weird to have no male character in the game.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Here's a slight edit with a comparison!

On the right is the slightly more masculinized version. The differences are:
- thicker eyebrows
- thinner lower lip
- blush removed from cheeks
- jawbone is slightly more square and angular rather than pointed and curved
- no longer smiling (helps more than you'd think)

Fixing his lesbian hairstyle is outside the limits of my mad MS Paint skillz but even these very subtle changes are enough to at least move his gender from "indeterminate" to "effeminate male." Feel free to use this, but you may want to redo the changes yourself, since this vesion is a JPG and contains noticable blurring.

Wow, thanks a lot for the comparison pic!
The eyebrows and the jaw really does make a difference.
He looks a bit grumpy without the smile though...
I've got a tight deadline to meet so I don't know whether I'll have enough time to fix his hair, but I'll change his facial features.
Personally I quite like his hair but now I've come to the realisation it's his major source of girliness...

Well you can leave him smiling if you want. That's definitely the least important thing of those five.

Regarding his hair, maybe just give him a small sideburn. Or maybe not, since that has the potential to look extremely awful. Meh.

I was thinking when I first looked at the image that his eyes looked feminine, but couldn't figure out why, or how to fix it. After looking at it again the next day, I think it's his glasses. I wonder if maybe his glasses frames are a feminine style. I don't really know anything about glasses, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't subconsciously pick up on the fact that they feel "off". Try making them this shape, perhaps.

Thanks for your advice, maybe I could make the glasses frames thicker so he looks older.
I think it's also because the black lines around his eyes are too heavy which looks a bit like eyeliner?

His eyes are angular, that's the problem. The jaw was fine, the lips were a tad too big. It was his eyes; eyes are the window to the soul and when they're tilted like that they look very feminine. Just changing those alters the entire image, trust me :)

LockeZ shorter jaws do not equal manly kthx

edit: I recommend giving flipping all your drawings a go. You might not notice at first glance but his shoulders are no where near even. Flipping shows you errors your eye doesn't show you when it's not flipped; it will help you a lot.

@Spiderlily: Here is a perfect example for you on the eyes, just to kind of help you out on what's trying to be said to help you out here. I hope this helps you to see the difference between the male and female thing...

Personally, I would go with one of the first two on the left side for this particular male character; they just seem to scream doctor to me.
Thanks to you all!!!
I've made a few changes to the doctor's face today, but he still looks a bit girly though= =
I'll post the re-edited portraits of the doctor and the nurse tomorrow. They are still not finalised yet...I'm stressed...
