author=Marrendauthor=dewelar, snippedHrm. Yeah, that might make sense. I remember being somewhat surprised by the pronunciation of "Aya" in The Third Birthday as well.
...it would be more like "Mah-yew".
In Japanese, the letter "y" is always a consonant, and so cannot end a syllable ("n" is a special case, because translation conventions render "ん" as "n"). If you're shooting for "mew", the closest you could come would be "Miu".

"I, Fujikawa Mayumi, do hereby vow that I shall henceforth treat thy friend, Harada Himeko, with the same respect and care that I would wish thee to show mine own sister."
...but even more embellished and prosaic. Not necessary, but it might be aesthetically pleasing :).
You know what? If you don't mind I'd like to use your version instead of mine.
author=dewelarNo consonant but "n" can end a sylable? Never ever? ... Is that the reason why some words borrowed from English somehow seem to acquire an -u as ending?author=MarrendIn Japanese, the letter "y" is always a consonant, and so cannot end a syllable ("n" is a special case, because translation conventions render "ん" as "n"). To quote myself above..."pretty much". My comment a few posts back about certain "u"s being nearly sub-vocalized is related to this as well.

有難う 御座います
I hope that is the fitting level of formallity ;)
Is... is anyone here ? I feel as if I'm sort of shouting into the abyss. I used to be an active member of this forum years ago... I've a new account now. I love this game. I truly do. I was working on a custom character a long time ago. I'd like to continue to work on that. However, I can't seem to find the girl model file to be used for tachie creation that is not a photoshop file. Can someone assist me ? Thank you... Is Marrend still here ?

Why don't you want a "photoshop file" for a tachie model? Just because it's a .psd you don't have to use photoshop to work with it.
Welcome to the Ho-tel RMN-a! You can stay any time of night, but you can ne-ver leeeeave!
Sorry. Bad joke.
Anyway, the program that was suggested to me back in the day was GIMP. It's free software (as far as I know), and opens/edits PSD files. Though, the file type that most Heartache content uses is PNG. Which, thankfully, GIMP can make. I do not know if Heartache would recognize other image standards (or how much memory such images would take up), but, it seems likely.

Goodness, I sounded more stupid than I intended. I hadn't even tried opening the file with gimp. Silly me. It has been a while. I'm happy to have found this game again. I wish more people would make custom content for it... It's a great opportunity that most games don't provide. I'll do my best to not slack off and actually finish writing my script. I've actually gotten a bit farther since last post. And tachies have been made, though they aren't anything particularly impressive.
Also, I forgot to reintroduce myself. I used to be ShinigamisApples. I made Ai Nakamura in the Custom Content page, but she only has a few measly stories. I was 13 then and I recently turned 16. Unfortunately, damsels in distress are no longer something I wish to work on. Hopefully, I will be able to do better with this character.
Welcome back, then!
...Apparently, Nakamura Ai is not on the ID-list. WELP I GUESS I SHOULD FIX THAT. Should Ai be considered dropped/cancelled, then? That's the impression I'm getting, but, I figure it can't hurt to ask.

Ah yes. I apologize. She is dropped. Don't bother adding her id. You can also delete her from the content list as well. I'm planning to add something worthwhile to that list in the future.
Fair enough! Content has been flagged as "cancelled" on both the ID-list and in the OCC blog.
Speaking of, a link to the OCC blog has been added to the Finished content page. Something like this has been in the back of my head, but, I wasn't quite sure where such a link would exist.

I've been taking a break lately from other stuff, so today I started doing some writing for a character. Man, it's soooo relaxing writing heartache 101 stuff.
Also, sorry to ask another stupid question, but where can one find the ID list ? I'd also like to add that I haven't played all custom content characters made by other users, so I'm hoping I don't step on any toes by making a character that may be similar.
The ID list is in/on this page. Since it's under a hide-tag it might be easy to miss. However, it's prefaced by...
...this text.
--> If you are writing story content that includes the appearance of existing characters (built-in or custom), the following list may be of reference:
