Time to stick a fork in it?

I don't seem to get bug reports so often any more, nor new feature requests, and I'm rather burnt out from adding features anyway. I think it might be time to call the project complete. What do y'all think?

The one thing that makes me hesitant to do so is the poll on the website which shows "GxB support" getting quite a lot of votes. GxB would call for some significant changes to the game engine, which would extend the testing period even longer. But if it continues to be something players would like, I do want to add it, if not now then eventually. But if I am going to add it, "now" would be better than "eventually", since this is the beta after all. I dunno. Not sure what I wanna do.

Maybe another way to ask the question is this: What, if anything, do you think the game still needs before it's ready to be called complete?

edit: Okay, I'm calling it complete! v1.0 is nearly unchanged from v0.77, so if you have that version there's no need to upgrade.

I think the lack of bug reports is because I was the only active tester for a while. And I'm not testing anymore. As for the inclusion of GxB support, I'm not sure how many votes count as "quite a lot", but if it's significant enough, it might be cause to re-consider adding that functionality. That's a lot of work, though. Not just with the programming end of things (Though that is certainly most of the work), but getting decent graphics for the male datable characters as well. Considering how much of the BxG custom content was made from "Medium Build Girl", I'd think that whatever is used to make the "built-in" male characters will be as extensively used. Is it too much for me to assume that there would be built-in characters as part of the "official" GxB support? I think not.

I must say that I empathize with your wish to call this done and move on. Heaven knows I've delayed work on a certain project long enough because of my work on this game. In fact, I'd be fine if you call this game done. True, there may still be a few bugs out there. However, most of them seem to occur because somebody's doing something crazy with custom content. By the by, where's my feedback on Emiko, people? I think people who just want to play the game without any extra fluff can be assured that everything is a-okay.
Actually, I wasn't intending on adding any more built-in characters, male or female. Users writing GxB content would need to provide their own images. Now that I think about it, adding GxB would only be worth it if at least a couple users interested in making male characters--not just playing them--would come forth and help me test the new functionality (the way you've been helping, Marrend).

Speaking of Emiko, shall I go ahead and upload it for you?

Correct me if I'm reading you wrong, but unless there's an outpouring of support (Testing support, that is.) for GxB support, there will be no GxB support. Gotta love the irony.

Upload Emiko to the other site, I presume? I... guess so. No pictures, of course. Half the fun is in the mystery of what she looks like, after all!

*edit: Hrm, is Emiko on the main page of the custom content tab of this site yet? No!?

Well when we first discussed the idea of GxB support (and I was the one who proposed it) there wasn't actually anybody saying they wanted that feature. That's why I shelved the idea for so long; didn't think there was enough interest in it. So the poll results kind of surprised me.

Since there wouldn't be built-in characters to go with a GxB feature, I think it would be important for there to be content creators who could make some. Although I said testing support, I meant this too.

(Also, I doubt my ability to write from the female perspective)

She's there now.
There havent been any bug reports because i've started making my own game, and all of those damn teachers givin' me homework so I haven't had any time :(
Or maybe the game is complete! I have heard that a good artist knows when things are done, and adding more brush strokes will start detracting from the work.
