Indepth Combat System and Monster List

I have added text to the combat system. It now shows a log of what the enemy does.
I feel this adds more depth into actual combat. You shall see screenshot below of our main character, (to be named) fighting a zombie, and another fighting a vampire.
What are your thoughts on this change in comparison to the default RPGMAKER XP system?

I have also prepared a short list of mainstream possible monsters.
If you think I have left anything out please feel free to post and say what I've left out.
Monster List
-Vampires
-Zombies
-Demons
-Ghosts
-Werewolves
-Witches
-Goblins

Is your party limited to one character for the entire game?
I have been thinking about including a combat log in my game too, but I'm having a hard time with finding space where to put it.
But if you only have one character then I think a combat log is a very cool feature to include. It certainly helps to avoid repeating ineffective actions took before.
Also, no SKELETONS? :)

Unfortunately, yes your party is limited to one character for the entire game.
However I plan to make up for this in the stat system and some other unconfirmed features.
:O I completely forgot about Skeletons! Those are extremely mainstream, very good idea.
Well, that is not unfortunate at all.
It is just a choice you as a designer make.
Some of the best RPGs of the old days have only one protagonist.

Nope, sorry. All skeletons were used to frame various things around the game.
On topic: I usually don't like these 'logs' on rpgs because they tend to drag the battles a lot, specially when there are many enemies at once. But as long as the combats are 'one on one' and you take this as an opportunity to write funny stuff about the monster's attacks, then I guess it's alright.
Oh, and don't forget to include Mummies, Mermans, and perhaps even Martians!

Giant spiders.
I considered this, but I wasn't sure. Now I am.

I agree wholeheartedly, they drag on forever. But mine, thankfully will not.
Haha, definitely Mummies, but I'm not so sure about Mermans or Martians. Martians are more sci-fi. Mermans, I'm not sure but possibly.
