Does it stare back if I stare into it?

I was going to attach a video to this and leave the text as a sort of TL;DR but 2 things happened

1. half my audio went out, probably due to me messing with it (thanks OBS).

2. Someone beat me to the video

So here we go in text and still-image format

STORY 3/5
Basically, from what I understand, you stop some sort of evil corp from taking over the world and get sealed inside some place called the Abyss. To get out, you've gotta complete a couple puzzles. Nothing else is really ever explained.

I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT I DID

And, in the end, the main character just goes "Well, that was interesting..?" He gives his trip to what was essentially Hell no second thought as though he were passing through his local WalMart.

AUDIO 3.5/5
I like heavy music. This had heavy music. I was pleased.

Granted it was only at certain parts but at least the rest of the (RTP, I believe) music more-or-less had its place

DIALOGUE 1.5/5
Not much dialogue occurs between characters, and what does occur really doesn't do much to characterize the speaker. It's pretty much used to just keep things moving. Text also tends to get cut off every now and again, but usually only by a letter or two

Might as well have been nonexistent, though

GRAPHICS 3/5
Mainly RTP, I believe. Nothing too special here, but at least it's not horridly used.

Abyss Lake is wonderful this time of year

GAMEPLAY 2/5
Now, the author had stated this was to be a short game; one that could be beat in a matter of minutes. However, my experience was sullied slightly by two things: insta gameovers and oddities in the mapping (to be covered under MAPPING). I found out about the gameovers pretty quick when I began the second task and was asked how I had gotten there and was presented with answer choices that were all more-or-less correct. The third test just boils down to guessing until you get the right one.

See, the bridge led into the Abyss where I found the Griffon where a portal opened to the Lake where I found the Wisdom Eagle which led me to Ski who then lead me to the portals to get to the test. Shiiiiiiiiiii-

One of these is not like the other, and it'll probably lead to another Game Over

Not very puzzle-y.

MAPPING 1.5/5
There a few issues to be had here. While nothing stood out too badly, it became and issue when one could walk through the walls of what was supposed to be a maze.

oops

So the first and last tests were a breeze once this was discovered.

Also, the last map is bugged; one of the events was left as an "Action Button" activation instead of what I guess was supposed to be autorun. Had to find that out by delving into the project file

CONCLUSION 14.5/30 or 0.48333333~

Alright, this wasn't as bad as the rating would imply though I guess I only feel that way as it took around 15 minutes to pretty much beat it.

Still, I wouldn't recommend unless you just really want to play this

The 524 is for 524 Stone Crabs

Considering that I mained RMXP for some time, I beg to differ.

The way the tiles are used look unnatural and barren, completely underutilizing the huge library of tiles that RMXP's RTP gives you.

My definition of horrid would be "eye vomit"

Basically, the tile usage didn't cause me visual unrest or anything but I will agree that it was bland
