This is a Lufia game based on a story I am writing in my spare time. Not only will it mix elements from Lufia games and the typical RPG, It will include some fresh material as well.

Lufia VI:Echoes of the legend will feature a large cast of about 10 characters(including several guest characters),tons of new and old material such as weapons,IP skills(Lufia II),Learn point system(Lufia the legend returns),Status boards for individual characters, new items,a large world map,new villans (including the Sinistrals),various side quests, puzzles, and an amazing soundtrack based on the Original soundtrack of Lufia I,II,III(the legend returns),and various remixes.

This game will also have a weapon forging system, medium to hard difficulty level, secrets,Battle voices,Capsule monsters(Lufia II) and much more.

The Truth and a new beginning

Hello everyone, I have some good news and bad news. The truth about this project now is that it was lost a while ago when my flash-drive stopped being recognized and malfunctioned...which led to a corruption and it is garbage now. That's the bad news. The good new is I plan on restarting this project from scratch regardless of all my hard work being lost. Back when I started this project in 2011, I knew nothing about back-ups and online storage. I Barely worked on it after I started working on another one of my projects.

A critical question came into play. Should I restart the project or cancel it? I love the Lufia series, so the decision was to start fresh. Now that I have a better understanding of how RPG maker works, I can make the game even better than what it was long ago. I've decided to put this on hold in an attempt to create "Lufia Maker" What I want to do with this new game is to take the best of the Lufia games and mix it into one game (Similar to Sonic Generations). I'll fill in more details when I submit it, but I want to take this project into another direction and then create an original game from it.

What are your thoughts on this?

Ended? What do you mean? I'm only on a break. Also, several Lufia fangames have been announced here. I was the first one, then Dekar came with Lufia V, then Kiren with Lufia rebirth and gadesx with his as well. Trust me, they are anything but dead. I have been away from this project for a while because I'm working on a Platformer featuring several characters that me and several subscribers made. There are also some Lufia VI cameo appearances in it as well.

Good to hear! =D
The next thing I want to do is decide if I should use MIDIS or MP3s. MIDI is space conservative, but MP3s sound better. I was also introduced to a website that converts MIDIs to high quality MP3s and slightly increase the size dependent on the song choice. There are some songs i converted that sound professional and can potentially rival original songs. Here is the site

Solmire.com

A good example is when I had from Final Fantasy X as a MIDI. When I converted it it sounded almost exactly the same.Love this song btw.

I'd say use it then. Especially if you think that it will make your music sound better

How many hours in total is this title?

Good Question:) I am aiming for about 20 hours, but more would be nice. If the game turns out to be really fun, I may increase it. I plan on making this Lufia game fun, fast-paced, and challenging. I will start working on this again soon. I promised myself I wouldn't work on 2 projects at once or I'll lose foucs on the other one. Once Fantasia is done, I will be heavily workin on this.
How is everything progressing so far?
I have been doing some work on the project. Now that I'm more experienced with the 2003 engine, I may start making remaking lots of things that were cluttered before such as the mapping and battle system.Otherwise, everything is going great! I want to release a demo, but the game is a mess right now with lots of test areas, and learning examples.

The IP system and character swtich system are my biggest problems though. I want to make it so that when you get hit, you receive IP and when you switch characters out, you can switch them back only. I wish the Lufia creators here could all collaborate and make a Lufia Maker engine in RPG maker 2003 that combines everything in the series.

That way, we have a default engine to use for Lufia games and all the creator had to do was make it their own by customization. I'll give a progress report soon also.
I have my project paused actually, work in team can be nice but the problem is work in team with rpg maker, every guy can't make the game with the same project,
for example is easy to copy a map from a project to another, but the events
and engines are related to a posicion, id, etc,

My lufia sdk actually have a lot of features but can be hard to learn for other people and adapt it to other project previously made it.

Wow! I just read this comment and a Lufia rmrk 2003 default engine does sound interesting. You know with the sprites, chipsets, and MIDI files.
You know, maybe I'll just make a folder with what I have in there. Maybe I can put it up for download since I'm through with it anyway, I can share :)
is there a download availale for both this & lufia v
Not yet unfortunately. I am working on a Monster World/Wonderboy fan game that takes the best elements from the franchise and mix it all into one. Things such as monster transformations and power-ups return. Also, this is going to be the first Stage-Based MW game with over 50 made so far for the main game itself.

Anyway, once that game is done, I will be working on this project. I may also change the name to Lufia:Chronicles. I want to create my Lufia game the way I created my MW game.I want to pull the best elements from the franchise and blend it into one massive game(while filtering out the bad elements). Its also strange that the MW franchise and the Lufia franchise both have four main games in their series.

Until the demo of this game is released, feel free to try Monster World Legends. It was originally supposed to be a Lufia Platformer to begin with.It has gone from Lufia Adventure--Ninja Legacy--Fantasia:Rise of a legend--Monster World Legends(its had a lot of name changes).

to make a whole new battle system like Lufia 2 (with cp too)

What is RED? And I look forward to a new battle system. I want to make my Lufia game so bad, but I can't at the moment. This series played a major role in getting me started in RPGs so I want to make a huge tribute to it. However, Lufia V:FTS is incredible and I'm glad I came across it. We NEED to create a default engine somehow.Perhaps we could all contribute resources and basic gameplay functions into one game and call it "Lufia Maker" or something.

Also, is there anyone interested in remaking Lufia III:The legend returns?
RED = Resident evil demake.
I have a friend that it's making a lufia editor, mainly based
in easyrpg, but it will take ages.
