There exists a most curious and powerful race in the world of Ospes, able to manipulate and alter matter itself.

Their numbers are few, and from the beginning they have lived as outcasts, perceived as a threat to the world and every living thing in it.

They are called Theolar.

Thymetians, the most dominant race on Ospes, have done all that they can to suppress the Theolar. For they, more than any, are afraid of them.

Most Theolar are content to live in hiding and have abandoned the use of their abilities in hopes they would be forgotten. But among them there is a small group, known as the
Andurim, who are unwilling to give up that part of themselves.

Their sole purpose is to provide the Thymetians and the rest of the world with a glimpse of their greatness, now long overshadowed by what else they are capable of…

"I've finished the game, and I have to say that I really enjoyed myself. I don't always keep the games, but this one is a must.
Thanks for all your hard work." - littlebro

"All in all, you have certainly set a standard for vx games. I can't think of one that actually gripped me, and especially like this one did...
At any rate, I'm just saying I loved the game. I can tell it had a huge amount of work placed into it." - demonlord5000

What users from rpgmakervx.net have said...

"Whoa. This game is amazing. I can't recall the last time I enjoyed a game, commercial or otherwise, this much. You've managed to create a world that pulls the player in,
makes him identify with teh characters and feel for them. A world that feels alive with lore and history. Every time I found one of the Nayrin relics...
I really felt I was discovering bits and pieces of an ancient civilization, scattered all over the world." - Jeffrey

If anyone wants to play arguably one of the best all around put-together RPGs available to RPG Maker VX, this is hereby on your must-do list.
- goldenguy

"I will say that I liked the message and it was a brilliant adventure while it lasted. The plot was tight, the characters convincing and the puzzles
were the best I've seen aside from Alundra. If you ever manifest another spectacular game, I'll be looking forward to it." - tom11

"Firstly you have a great imagination and a flair for writing, your game really drew me in and was a real "key-presser" right up until the final
scenes. Your game was also very well balanced in terms of available money, EXP, etc. The inclusion of your excellent (occasionally challenging)
puzzles and mini-games help to distract the player along the way. Also quite importantly the game runs practically bug free..." - matt-tribal

"Bloody fantastic RPG. Minigames, optional quests, math puzzles. Love it all." - vitrous

"...there's so much that can be done, and the story and adventure just keep taking new turns and twists...It's been a long time since I've played a
game that I have a hard time "setting down" after 2-3 hours, but this is doing that." - goldenguy

"...a brilliant game, you have clearly put a lot of thought into creating the world of Ospes and especially into its characters. I definitely
appreciate the humorous dialogue too." - matt-tribal

Canvas is Complete!

Five years and two children later, I have finished my second game. The download has been updated. The game should last around 15 hours or so depending on a few factors including puzzles and sidequests. I have included a full walkthrough and complete item guide with the download. If you need more detailed help than the walkthrough gives, please don't hesitate to ask. I love every kind of feedback, especially bug reports if you find any. Thank you very much to those who take the time to download Canvas and give it a shot.

Thanks so much for playing and leaving a comment. I had a lot of fun creating that mechanic...definitely one of my favorites. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments as you progress.
I have a question for you - I've opened the game with WinRAR and started playing (really enjoying it too, btw), and I've saved...and then when I go back to find the game/file etc...it's gone. I can't find the file at all, and I've done searches. I've restarted the game several times now, and it's getting frustrating. Any ideas/suggestions for how to find the game and my current saves? Thanks!

@dgfurman - Thanks for the interest in Manifest. When you clicked on the .rar file, it should have opened up WinRAR and shown a Manifest folder inside the window of the program. You don't want to open the folder and run Manifest from there. You should first use the Extract option in WinRAR to move the folder to a place of your choosing on your computer. If you run it from there, and then save your game later, it will put the save files in that folder. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

OK, getting tired of being whipped by a damn tree :(

I'm in Theolar and am trying to help a tree cutter.
Think I've tried all magic and no matter who hits that tree, it
appears there is no damage whatsoever.

Need a little help here :)
Thank you in advance :0

Thanks for playing. Some help below...

You will need access to one of the 3 things the woodcutter mentioned he had when he ran into the tree. If you don't have access to one or more of them, proceed with the main storyline until you do.

If you need more explicit help, please let me know.

Ah...thank you! That helps a lot, lol. Btw, outstanding game. I've played just about every RGP (commercial, indie) out there (been a while since I've played one without WinRAR in it), and this is very well done. What I really like is the dialogue. Great character development and story - makes it hard to stop playing. The puzzles are very clever as well. The only really annoying thing for me is having to wait for a save spot. Sometimes I need to get away from the computer, and then I either have to leave the game running, or shut down and start over from an earlier save. And the random encounters. Otherwise, it's very fun and addicting.

Question: in the mine with the cart that you can't put on the lifts (before you get to the town with the Gauntlet), there is an area with tombstones and blue flame torches. I haven't been able to figure that out. Any hints? I can tell that the flames may flicker, or change color briefly, but that's all I've been able to accomplish. Thanks!

That area comes into play later =).
I've run into a spot that I can't figure out, and I haven't seen the solution here anywhere.

I'm at the ruin close to Eborill, with 9 blue buttons. I have read the Guidebook, and have tried the buttons in various orders, based on those #s, but I'm not getting anywhere. It's my last key! Thanks!

You've made great progress! Some help below...

The numbers in the guidebook are written in a 3x3 grid. The numbers' positions in that grid correspond to the positions of the switches. So if there is a 1 in the top right corner, you would hit the switch in the top right corner first, and so on.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or comments.
Omg. Of course. Ugh! Thank you! Another question - I'm working on the cave that has a pinball set up. I got through the first room, but the 2nd has the flames that need to be lit. I can get them all lit up at once, but the door doesn't open. I'm not sure what I'm doing incorrectly. Am I supposed to get in in a continuous loop so that the flames never die out? Thanks again!

Yep. You'll have to manipulate the wedges as the orb is moving. I can give more specific advice if needed. Good luck.

Ugh. I've been trying. I think I'm just too slow! :( Puzzles I can figure out. Timed things - not so much. But this game is truly a work of art. I can't believe it's free. I've def. spent money one plenty of lesser quality.
I'm thinking I'm going to need some help on this one. Either there is an easier way to line the triangles up, or I am just not fast enough. :( any tips?

off topic - I've been collecting broken equipment and ore. Is there going to be somewhere where I can smith this equipment into good weapons? Thanks!

Never mind that hidden question. I figured that one out, lol.

Some help below =)

Start by setting up a very wide circle with the wedges. Push one so that it is lined up with the mechanism that shoots the orb. After the orb triggers and hits the first wedge, move that wedge back into the circle. At this point the orb should move around in a long circle that won't hit the torches fast enough. Slowly move one side of the circle (two wedges) closer to the torches after the orb passes them both. Repeat for the other two wedges.

The X's represent the wedges, the dashes are the space between them, and the O is the orb mechanism.

Please let me know how it goes.
Thanks! Got it! I was on the right track, but just not quite right. Now to hunt some items...

edit: I'm looking for the Pteryx feather - is that a random drop or do I have to steal it? I've been at it for over an hr and I haven't stolen anything but $ and the bird only drops strong medicine. Do I need to do something special or just keep trying? Thanks!

It can drop it after battle, but you're much better off trying to steal one.

Have you gotten any gear that improves Vellamik's chance of stealing?
I'm having trouble finding Trux's bent claws.
Are they in the Grotto? B/c I can't get through there in time. If not, are they in the castle? I'd like to get those made before I get to a point of no return, and I think I'm getting close. Thanks!

I'm guessing it's what's in the red chest which you get as a reward for bringing the tear back. Ugh. I'll keep trying, but I'm really bad at those timed things.
sbethune81

Getting them does require you to complete the Grotto. If you reach a point of frustration with it, you could send me your save file and I could send you it back with the Grotto finished. Just let me know.

Good luck.
