Testers Needed!!

Hey everyone, this is XBuster and I would like to ask a huge favor. I NEED testers. Developing this game alone is taking way too long, but that is because I am fixing and adding as much as possible. I have 3 worlds completed and I would like to have others playing it while telling me what is wrong and what can be tweaked. I won't be adding the new characters for a bit because I am polishing the old ones. This game has come a LONG way from its original form. I even played the original demo and said "This is what it was like before?" It plays horribly!! Looks like Link_2112 was 100% correct when he said it was awkward.

However, Asha is the most fluid, polished character I've made yet:) She is smooth, nearly polished and has a nice double jump and air attack.IF you want to test, I will permanently add you on the list. Please and thank you:) I need an official testing team for this game simply because I can't do it alone.

I'm always up to the task! I wasn't able to give any feedback on the last one since I've been busy, but I should be fine now.
I knew I could count on you:) I'll have to add fix everything before I give you the demo.
Its an open idea but, you could get a developer to make tiles graphics while you do graphics and place them on the map? - The fact its in Game Maker - Not sure if you have pro but anyway the fact its in Game Maker makes it a bit harder to team up with other people swapping stuff other than Rpg Maker.
I would be happy to test this game out. I'm a bit busy this month, but I can still definitely find a few hours each week to look out for glitches and difficulty imbalances while trying my best to break the game.

I have all of the tiles right now except for the Castle of Pandemonium. I have spent hours upon hours ripping the tiles based of the monster world 3 level maps. After this game is complete, I will be releasing all of the chip sets as a downloadable resource. As of now they are a decent size and I made them to give me alot of level flexibility. Here is an example of one

That would be fantastic! I appreciate that:) I am asking you to go all out and give me your absolute best possible feedback.
I also forgot to mention that Asha will be a source of inspiration for characters from this point on. I have learned a lot since I added her as a test character, and now I will get the other characters to be just as fluid as her. What I need to do is animate the characters better and fix their moves while polishing their movement and collision masks.
Ahh thats pre cool haha - so is it just finding time thats making it hard?
Time is the main thing, but content is another. I am aiming for 36 stages +9 bosses, but I would like stage designs to vary. I just recently played Super Mario Galaxy 2 and it is one of the most inspirational platform games I've ever played. Another thing holding this game back is the huge number of monsters I have to program. I have at least 70 monsters that have to do different things and are located in all kinds of areas. I would like to have this game done by September, but it looks like It may take a little longer.
Haha my games going terrible

I havent been working on Naked Knight lately

Ive spent 4 or 5 hours creating a game only got partly through that ive been thinking alot about how to work on things in it since i have crap loads of variables everywhere
variables can be a horrific thing if you don't keep track of them.
They are im think about just getting a 128 page writing book and putting each page with 20 numbers and right at top of page what this one is about then have an index on the first pages - cause there all over the place i would like it better if i had them ordered haha :P
Yes, keep them in order. I used to feel the same way about making fantasia until I spent a whole day putting things in order. If I were you, I would spend a day or two categorizing your variables to make it easier for you to find them. For example I have several variable categories such as...

  • Skills

  • Magic

  • Enemies

  • Players

  • Stages

  • Items

and a bunch of other variables, but keeping them in order is very important. Once an variable works and is complete, place it in a category and leave it alone unless you have to do more with it. The same thing goes for switches.
