Final Adjustments

As stated in a previous blog, the demo is going to be released around the time of Christmas. So, I thought I'd compile a list of implemented features that will be appearing in the demo and point out some final adjustments to those features.

  • A lore-rich plot that spans the entire Green Forest (80 maps not including dungeons and interiors) and portions of the human lands.

  • Lumbar's decisions/responses will effect how Greenlore progresses. Its citizens will either become more kindhearted and forgiving or more sinister and cruel toward the humans than ever.

  • Detailed characters that react to Lumbar's every decision, be it good or evil.

  • Optional quests are entwined in the main plot and aren't there just to take up time or reward worthless items.

  • Gather herbs essential to creating powerful potions or sell the ingredients off to a local alchemist for a nice little profit.

  • Purchase a house in Greenlore and spruce it up with purchased furniture and a cat or dog.

There are several more minor features that do exist but aren't worth noting. A lot of these features have been given some last minute adjustments. The following are a few examples:

  • There are more personal moments between Lumbar and Jupiterweb now. Even a possible romance option (not included in the demo yet).

  • Optional quests now DO have a small impact on certain plot moments. An elf that Lumbar saved could find him later and reward him with additional items or even offer combat assistance.

  • Gathering herbs now adds a small chance that Lumbar will find Moonlit Moss. This rare plant offers a quest-line that follows right beside the main plot.

  • Another house has been added for purchase in Greenlore. Now Lumbar can either purchase a smaller house or a larger house. Each has its own benefits (despite the smaller one being four times cheaper).

That's that I suppose. The plot does continue on for quite some time considering that this is a demo. Took me four hours to finish it and I knew exactly what to do and where to go. None of these features will crash the game but I imagine the occasional minor bug or text error lingers.

This seems great. Picking herbs, buying houses to decorate, owning an animal. Different good or bad choices. Im looking forward to this Bare.

Thanks! The game is a sandbox experience. A lot of things can happen that Lumbar won't expect. These are just a few things he can do with his free time.
