Style changes

So Teressa Is finished (mostly) and so is Citus, but I was realising that they style of gameplay between the two may feel like it's changed. The purpose of the intros has been to introduce the character's and their unique abilities when not part of the group. Once the game starts to come together, you won't be able to play through each intro in one playthrough, instead you will choose your main character and play through the story from their point of view, each character will have things to do on their own, and parts of conversations that will change depending on who you'r playing as. So yes, they styles are different in the intros, but the game as a whole will be a mixture of all of them (battles, puzzles, factions, and quests) I hope that I haven't lost anyones interest along the way with the changes between Citus and Teressa, David is next, and he's back in the action!

Sounds like something I was planning on doing sometime in the future involving you choose one character and it plays through their point of view lol. Though with mine you'd only have the character you chose and never meeting the others til endgame. The party members would be monsters~ ^o^

Back on topic..lol it's looking great, and I'm sure to have fun laying stuff when David becomes available! :D
I still havent traveled in the under ground catacomb place in Teressas story, ill check that out.

If I understand your description, it sounds vaguely like "Magical Land of Wozz' where one character is the focus and which one you pick causes some variances in the storyline. Of course, another option when it comes to intros is to have the player cycle through each character's intro individually before they all come together as a team, as was done in Wild Arms (and I assume Alter Code F), which also saw the party members split up and rejoin multiple times throughout the story.

My original idea for the game was like wild arms, but I wanted the game to have replayability, and each of the main characters has a special ability only they can use, So i ended up changing it around a little to be more like Star Ocean 2 for ps1 where you choose the main character, you play though only their intro, then they meen up and the game is via their point of view, with Private actions in town where you can interact with the other party members, and maybe even get multiple endings. There will also be some dungeon levels that are different depending on which character you have as main because depending on who you use, you will loose the ability to use the other's special skills if you don't choose them. For example, Citus's pickpocket and pick lock abilities will only be accessable if she is your main, Teressa's Seed of Aylonna are only useable if she is your main, David's Shadowwalk ability has some main storyline connection, but you can only use it at will if he is your main, Herin will eventually become a Knight, and you will get to choose his order, but only if he is your main... And othe rlittle tweakes that will make it interesting to play through with each character. (I guess it's also kind of like Dragon Age 1)
Star ocean and wild arms both great games. Cant go wrong with either choice.
Never played Wild Arms..but I loved the Star Ocean games. ^o^ (That's it, I'm placing Wild Arms in my emulator~)

Yay Sana! The battle graphics are cheesy lol but i really loved that game. I heard there's a wild arms 2 but i've never played it. I love emulators, they make the world a better place! I'm glad it seams that I have popular taste in games, off to a good start!
I have emulators for gboy, snes, n64, and sega, never had any for psx. Wild arms is like a western rpg though sana. Pretty cool, and like this game you can choose whos scenarios to play until they tie together. That is until Goddess switched it up, which is fine. This new way sounds interesting, only getting certain special skills to use. The whole knight faction thing sounds pretty neat.

I'd play 2 over the original any day. 3 does some pretty nifty things, while 4... er, well, it was different. Never got around to 5.

I ended up passing up 2 because I thought "Schturdark" was a mistranslation. Never played beyond the first. I personally loved it. I may get aloud to playing the others some day, and am at least a bit curious about Alter Code F, the remake of the original.
