Lufia V Welcome to Ostiaka Demo Released!

It's been awhile since I've posted here on Rgmaker.net, but I'd like to announce the release of my newest demo, "Welcome to Ostiaka." It is a continuation from the first demo and picks up where we last left our heroes.

The demo is overall a shorter experience and is intended to show that the game is still progressing and to give those Lufia faithful something new to sink their teeth into. Enjoy!

Lufia V Demo 2.2 Release!

Hey everyone, the Lufia V Demo 2.2 will be out later tonight, check back soon for the download! Doing a final playthru right now to make sure everything is in order!

Lufia V Demo 2.2

I've made up my mind and I've decided to release a Demo 2.2, in fact, I've been working hard on it for the last 2 weeks or so. The Demo 2.2 will fix most - if not all of the issues found in Demo 2.1 and it will also add some new content:

-Spider Chase modified, it now deals 10 damage if it touches you and stops for 1 second to allow you to out run it again
-Many graphics have been added/redone
-Many text errors have been fixed
-A few new story sequences have been added
-The intro will ONCE AGAIN be reworked
-Spell Shops have been added
-Skill items can no longer be used during events or while opening chests
-Enemies will no longer move while opening chests
-Bomb animation added, removed temporary one
-Escape spell added (Final version MAY include "Reset")
-World made less linear (big change, at least on my end =P)
-and many more!

But the most important, in my eyes at least... and the most work intensive...
-Lufia II Encounter System
-Players will now enter battles when one square adjacent to an enemy and if one
is skilled enough to maneuver to face the monsters back or sides, he/she will be
rewarded with an initiative battle

I am also working on trying to make a proper skill item window.

The Demo 2.2 is set for release sometime this month or next month.

Progress Report

Changes

After hearing all of the feedback for the Demo 2.1 I have made/am making quite a few changes to the game.

- The intro will be reworked yet again in the hopes to strengthen the character development of the heroes and their relationships
with one another.

-There will be a short tutorial for those unfamiliar with RPGMaker2k3 and its controls, and also an introduction to Lufia-type puzzles for those
who are new to the series.

-The infamous "Spider Chase" is being reworked again as well. Now, when the spider touches you, the entire party will take 10 damage and the spider
will stop for 2 seconds, allowing you to get a headstart before it starts running again. This should remove most of the frustration among players, yet
also keep a challenge.

-A few more grammatical errors are being fixed.

-Strong and Stronger now have a lower MP cost (due to the lack of magic recovery items until Ostiaka)


I will most likely not release a Demo 2.2 as I'm fairly certain no one would really want to play through the entire demo again just to see this little changes, but look
forward to them in the final version of the game!

Anyways, I'm back to working on Ostiaka. I'm polishing the beginning of it and then working out the last little bit that I have to finish. After that, I will begin work on Ferai Continent which I am beyond excited for =P.
