YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE PLAYED ZENDIR 1 TO BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND ZENDIR 2

Five years after the defeat of Count Hudu, Zane and Zaphilia are set to marry. However, mid-ceremony, a demon interrupts and everyone is forced to escape. In the confusion, Zane is taken away by the demon. Despite the help of Anya, Dalnaycus and Dorian, Zaphilia is unable to defeat it and is also forced to run away. Just as she begins to leave the city, the Seer's Servant appears to give her the following message from the Seer:

"It was dark. It was hot. The gate stood right in
front, but without the four, it couldn't be opened.
The scorching heat guides you. The light is in the
path. You have the wisdom to find this place."

Just who is the Seer, and how does he know about Zaphilia's plight?

Upon reaching the Volcano that the group think the Seer was talking about, the demon returns and transports a defenseless Zaphilia into the past.
Is all hope lost, or is there a way to save Zendir's future without completely unraveling the fabric of time...?

Zendir is a world of monsters and magic. The decisions that Zaphilia makes in the past may well affect the future, especially in terms of quests brand-new to Zendir: Grey Quests. In Grey Quests, there is no right or wrong answer to the mission, but one decision chosen may make someone happy and someone else unhappy. The results may also affect other quests. Dare you find out?
Also brand-new to Zendir 2 (whilst not included in the demo) are hidden bosses. Hidden bosses are locked away behind doors and devious puzzles, for good reason. They may oliberate an unprepared party, but do you think the rewards outweigh the risks? Why not find out?
And finally, to spice the story up, there are quest-relevant mini-games.

ZAPHILIA:
The determined, thick-skulled main character. She doesn't let anything get in her way - or Zane's. Rather than see an entire city burn, she'd probably see a few suffer, but the circumstances behind her choices may change. But for the better or worse...?

ZANE:
Having been Zaphilia's lover since childhood, he's finally summed up the courage to ask to marry Zaphilia. Predictably, he doesn't manage to do so due to a mid-ceremony interruption, but he'll wait until the end of time to be reunited with the one he loves.

ANYA:
Probably the only person in the group to speak sense, Anya's often setting things right. Now coming up to her teenage years, Anya's maturity has developed quickly - and it shows. She can now hold her own in a battle, and would rather see the world freed than destroyed.

DALNAYCUS:
His love for jokes hasn't faded since the first game, but with Dorian around, he's often forced into either taking them back or modifying them into versions that would embarrass his friends. Of course, much of his speech is in jest and shouldn't be taken seriously - he fights as well as he speaks.

DORIAN:
Like Anya to Zaphilia, he is Dalnaycus' counterpart, knocking sense into him where required. Within the five years since defeating Count Hudu, he's grown far braver than he thought possible, and now loves throwing axes around. Well, not really, but he's still got a sturdy defense.

RIDORE:
A character new into Zendir 2, Ridore's intentions in helping Zaphilia are unknown, but it appears that she merely wants to help those who cannot help herself. Could her past have anything to do with it - or even Zothros, the person she was speaking to just before she met Zaphilia?

LUCIEN:
An arrogant, hard-headed but yellow-haired man, Lucien is the epitome of who would most likely be expelled from the Magic Academy. His aversion to all things nice turns many away from him, as does his attitude. His skill with magic is blinding though, being one of the best magicians around.

ZOTHROS:
A man shrouded in mystery, his hair is oiled and sleek, much like what's been revealed of his personality in the short exposure he's had in the demo. He evidently loves blackmailing others, but does he have a specific motivation for doing so?

Finally Complete

Besides a couple of script bugs which I'm waiting for fixes for, Zendir 2: A World Reborn is complete! The full game should be out within a week, depending how long it takes for people to give me the bug fixes.

The story is quite interesting but I found near the end it gets very complicated in terms of how it all ties together. What I'm thinking of doing is providing an ending explanation in a video or block of text that is optional to read (and only best to read once you've finished the game and if you don't understand the ending) so that people can fully enjoy the third and final game in the series...

Zendir 3: Scourge of the Netherworld!

That's right, I've already started work on the third and final game whilst waiting on the fixes for 2. It's actually proving a lot harder to keep up the drive now, but that's probably because I've already burnt thousands of hours into RPG Maker. I think the second game might actually be better than the third at this rate... but never mind, I've thrown in some graphical treats in the third. It shouldn't take as long as the second to make anyway, it's meant to be short. Zendir 2's got a total playtime of 6 hours!

That's it - a world will soon be reborn!

An update for you guys: My rapidshare only shows 3 downloads, but dropbox doesn't track download numbers. I think about 60 downloads have come from dropbox, and dropbox have suspended my account for 3 days due to high traffic. If possible, can you please download from rapidshare rather than dropbox? Thanks.
Suspended account due to high traffic....Awesome.
Yeah. If anyone has a better suggestion than Dropbox, please do share it :) (I can't use mediafire, there's an upload limit on it)
Sorry everyone, this game is on hiatus until I can actually work properly on it. I get a few minutes every day, but it's not substantial enough to actually progress further content. A weapon here, a parralax there, a map and tint up there... But it's going too slowly, and beginning to stress me out whilst having it on top of my uni work.
Once all my deadlines are over, I'll be able to work on it properly again, most likely after the 23rd March.

Do keep me updated with anything you'd like to see in the game however. I'll continue doing some ideas, but only in my free time.
Oh man hope you get your life going on. Sad to see this slowed, but totally understand.
I have finally finished the main story. Now I have to do battle balancing and the creation of items/weapons/etc. This won't take as long as the main story, but there may also be side quests. I have two left to make in the starting area, and I need to put at least another couple in the later areas.

I polished the game as I went along with the story, which is why it took so long to finish. Plus, keeping going on haitus and coming back meant it kept getting delayed and I kept forgetting plot points. I'm having people play the game again, and noting down important details to help myself re-orientate myself.

And yes, this game has a map!

She heals you. The two males damage. :)
Even with the healing I end up using my potion anmd the special potion ( i forget the name )and the extra damage she gets from the two guys after killing jr guard, the big guy always at the last moment hits me with several hits in a row which kills me. Is this just bad luck or always his last defense before dying.

Hmm, I would suggest using magic on one of the guards, and physical attacks on the other. It sounds like you've come under bad luck, but at the same time, the 'last defense' occurs on low health. You have to beat them before they can use that attack (or at the least, if they use the attack, for it not to kill you. It really shouldn't kill you if you're above half health at least. Another suggestion is to keep healing until the guards are at low health, then the healing from the girl shouldn't kick in unless you're at low health, therefore saving you from the multiple 'dying' attack.).

May I ask what your inventory/equipment is? If you're underleveled (ie level 1) and struggling, try defeating some of the wasps in Myrandi Forest or bats in Myrandi Cave East if you need the extra health.
Is it just me or antidote not working?

Fixed from my end. Thank you for reporting. Antidote isn't mandatory to survive the game, however, so the game can be continued just fine :)

(A slightly more difficult first half version is coming soon, along with the patches)

I cannot go back out to gain any levels. So I suspect I be f*cky-f*ckied or get very lucky!

Actually at my lowly level 1, I beat them and now am at Gerdon Hamlet. TaDa!!
I bit myself in the ass apparently.
On the field of hope and sorrows I didnt realize it was an area I couldnt leave from and heal up. The guards are pretty tough and a lot of MP and potions are used each battle and there are several guards to fight...and THEN theres a boss. All with no way to heal other than MAYBE you get a healing potion.
I can only hope others find themselves in the same position so maybe you might work some magic. My last save was....sigh....30 minutes earlier. Duhhhhhh.

Sorry I couldn't reply earlier, my internet was screwed up.

There is no boss at the end of FoHaS.
What level are your characters?
My apologies....it seems one of the enemy looked like a boss. I still have about 5-6 enemies to fight. My little rag-a-muffin team are at levels 9 and 10.

9 and 10 is fine - I think it's your collection of spells and equipment that are the issue then. The half-hour you mentioned - does it include boss fights, or just story and travelling? If it includes bosses, which ones? If it's just story, revert to the older save and speedrun it (should only take 5 mins if you don't read everything as you know what it says now) and try to fight some stronger enemies to get more items, weapons, etc.
