Guide 4 party-members around exploring the depths under the city, and reveal it's secrets! There are many dangers ahead, but fame and riches await you at the end! Defeat powerful foes and conquer the harsh environment! Just be careful, don't die in the process!

Fixed a bit of stuff from recent comments!
Devourer of All will not pierce Moon Shard's reflect - but it will no longer get one-shot by it.

Skills
  • Crawler's First Strike is given a higher activation rate.
  • First Strike's damage is slightly increased.
  • Natalie's Thunderstorm has increased damage.
  • Felicie's Passive effect has been changed: Brave Strider lets her recover HP whenever she attacks an enemy with higher HP rate than her.
  • Cirine's Assassinate's damage is increased.
  • Overdrive Bomb now inflicts a state that reduces the Flare resistance of all targets.
  • Timeless Blaze no longer one-hit kills the Devourer of All (oops ahaha)


Items
  • Changes to a few of the enemies' drop rates.
  • New equipment may occasionally drop from enemies!
  • More equipment can grant skills to the owner!!
  • A few equipment's stats are altered.
  • Anger Fang and Tiger Fang's Counter chance is reduced.
  • Star Shard and Moon Shard's Reflect chance is reduced.

  • Malevolent Flame's Flame Shells have more HP
  • Devourer of All resists Timeless Blaze

  • Increased the speed of all UI animations.
  • Uploaded the file directly to rpgmaker.net because my internet is good now :3c

Am I supposed to stay with two characters after fighting with the fairy? (the one that uses tornado and wipes out the entire party).
If your character dies, it's a permadeath. You have to talk to Lady Tahali for new ones.

My characters are all level 12 but I am still easily killed each time whenever I fight the very first boss the stupid ass tree.
Gaining EXP is fairly easy and smooth but earning reasonable money is a paltry experience. You cam gain levels but still have just enough to buy one item worth having. Items are simply too costly.
I like playing the game but rather than continue to enjoy it, it is fast becoming more of a chore, something easily averted by simple balancing.
Why are all posts in hard-to-see yellow/green AND necessary to drag the cursor in order to read?
are you using internet explorer or something?
also the tree is beatable at lvl 5 wtf man. XD

You can easily beat the Tree at Lv 5.

I havent even tried the tree yet, but at level 8 I had 2 characters taken out because one guy cast tornado and it took off like 70% of everyones health. This game is a challenge, but its fun.
Yes wtf as you put it. I believe it should be fairly easy to beat it this early in the game. I am thinking for whatever reason it is simply bad luck. I will keep trying since eventually it will die. But even so the rest of the things I mentioned are still valid. Thank you both for telling me the level it is beatable at.

It's probably VERY DIFFICULT if you don't have Defense Up or Attack Down (the latter specifically). I luckily had both due to Sordis/Gerhard, and I still didn't beat it until L9 and then again at L11 (I reset at L9 because Sordis died -- I was going to roll with it, but he didn't drop the equipment I had bought him, and money is tight. Like at L11 and getting all of the first area's chests and had only bought a helm for Randell and some Spirit Robes for Sordis. (And, this after selling Sordis's wooden stick that he starts with. I'm playing on Normal)

In my haxxored copy I've since doubled normal gold drops/quadrupled boss gold drops, and made it so that allies drop their equipment if they permadie. I'm a bad man.

as for money, I bought a lucky coin as soon as I get enough money for it and grinded for a while and found money easy afterwards <_<;

Yes, they threw perma death in the game to be mean. I think they said earlier you have to ask the lady at the inn for another character.

I am currently playing the game. I have found in 5F you can actually walk into some of the walls of the maze. I am having a bit trouble finding the exit for this level ... I guess the circular nature of the maze makes it a bit confusing for me (definitely means you guys did a great job for this particular one!).

This game is so much fun.

Congratulations on making an enticing dungeon crawler with such limited tools!
Welp! It seems like all wanted to say has already been said, but I'm gonna say it again just because I can. =P ...My first impression of this game was a very favorable one. I love how stylistic everything is. I guess there's no single thing in the visual and audio departments that you guys didn't customize, which brings the playing experience much closer together. As for the difficulty. Well, playing in normal is not too bad. It's just a matter of playing carefully. I even decided to sell my Star Pendants from the beginning to get a Lucky Coin and farm some money. So far I haven't had much trouble. Beat the Tree at Lv 9 and I'm currently at 19 with decent equipment in 5F.

The first few floors of the dungeon weren't so bad. While there were many dead end paths, and even those paths that did lead to a treasure weren't exactly rewarding; it was all beautifully mapped and of reasonable size, so I found it manageable... Sadly, the 5th floor of this dungeon is the epitome of what I consider bad dungeon design: 1.-It's a maze. 2.-It's a mess. 3.-It's gigantic! 4.-You field of vision is limited-- Well, it's nearly impossible to navigate, so despíte my best efforts and intentions, I had to call it quits. =(

I dunno if you guys will release another version in the future, but it would be great if you could address this. Maybe by adding some kind of clue, so finding the exit of that floor is not as difficult... Because is like shooting yourselves on the foot if you deliver such a polished gaming experience just to stopshort the players later on; They won't get to see the full extent of your work.

I whined about the exact same thing to rhyme ;a;
UPDATE! ...Ok, so I stumbled upon the exit of 5F by COMPLETE ACCIDENT and defeated the boss. The damn thing still managed to kill one of my characters, though (Vital Rend=CHEAP), but I had to live with it. Normally I'd go back to town and buy some of those items that give you +100% Hp and try once more. BUT THERE WAS NO CHANCE I'D FIND THAT EXIT AGAIN! ...RIP Felicie. =(

Anyway. The third section of the dungeon is alright. I'm currently at Level 32 and can hold my own well enough against the last boss. That is until she starts casting EVERY GODDAMN SPELL IN THE GAME IN SUCCESSION and fries me... Yeah. ;_;
Alter Ego, if you talk to the crystals, they will teleport you back to town and serves as a checkpoint (they're usually at the beginning of a new dungeon!) and you can go back to that floor :o
Ok, I'm getting frazzled trying to sample what I can and give every game a shot before voting closes when this game struts up with a big smug grin and tells me its a dungeon crawler. Yeah, sure, this'll be -totally- unique and enjoyable, I -totally- don't want the concept of grinding to kill itself via volcano-assisted jumping by this point.

Unfortunately, it turns out this is a seriously pretty game that presents itself well and is actually fun to play. The inspiration from Etriann Odyssey is clear, but the game still has its own flavor.

My biggest problem is the inconsistency between some of the portraits and sprites. When everything looks so good, it's that much more grrr-inducing to see hair-color not matching up with the game's most important NPC, let alone the characters. There is also a waterfall tile I noticed at the beginning of the dungeon that looked seriously butt in the middle of everything looking so good; like a spot of yellow on a pristine field of fresh snow.

How is that possible? I made the character sets first, drew the portraits and used the very same colors from the same DS palette @_@
