A general rule for Action battle systems' HUDs is that they look better and are more user-friendly when they are as small as possible, just saying:
-The X command icon's blue and white part is bigger than it needs to be.
-It is unclear to me if the HP gauge is any useful since we can also see the numbers for current and maximum values.

I'm looking forward to play this game ^^
I'll never understand why people put their HUD element as far as each other as possible. Or like in here: one in each corner of the screen... When they all can be in one single spot, where the player can keep track of them with a single "eye movement".

Money and that thing on the upper right corner (which I'm guessing is a day/night system) are perhaps not as important to keep tabs on all of the time. But health and equipped weapons are, and things work better when they're close to each other.
Avee: Yea, the actual red bar behind it is more for show than anything. I had originally intended to have it go up and down, now it just sits there as a backdrop more or less.

Alterego: I understand what you're saying. More stuff gets added as the game goes on, such as ammo for bows, bombs and a magic bar. The game is (rather obviously) influenced by a bunch of the Zelda games, which is why I set the graphics up the way they are.

Thanks to both of you for your input though!
