Jurassic Heart

Jurassic Heart is such a ridiculous game idea that I can recommend it for the idea alone, yet it also is a very sweet short story at the same time.

You start medias in res as you head out on a date with your romantic interest aka T-Rex-kun. His instrument has been destroyed so you go out together to buy a new one.

There are a few simple choices which will decide whether he opens up to you or not - resulting in a good and bad ending. They are very subtle differences and one choice in particular is fairly interesting, seeing you could argue in favor of other "wrong" choices as well.

The artwork of our critter is simply gorgeous, although the emotions are simply pasted on. The blushing indicated by a thick pink lines on a T-Rex is as out of place as it is amusing.
Backgrounds and music are fairly basic, but suit the atmosphere and the setting well.

For a romance, this is very subtle and sweet - no kissing, no love confessions. There is an embarrassing story of your date's past to be heard, and with it the game plays a lot with the expectations and common jokes associated with the huge dinosaur. Touches like usually wearing a fossil shape hairclip make for a nice frame as well in a world where dinosaurs are part of our happy daily lives. It is woven into a sweet and actually fairly believable story (if not for the T-Rex part).
It shot for a small scope and achieved it very well. This is not a grand stary, but a small experience.

Spend some time with your cutie and have fun! It is as hilarious as it sounds.
Just do not imagine how it would work.
