Ah, one of my favourite dungeons as well. The awesome music definitely helps, too. Still, the Ice Temple will probably always be my number one.
Kind of funny how you kept running in circles in that mole labyrinth despite being one of the people who created it. But I imagine it's harder to concentrate on memorising an area if you're trying to give coherent commentary at the same time.

I'd definitely be interested in more background info about Legacy. I'm excited to hear you've picked that project back up again. If there's ever anything I can do to help with that, please let me know. And if you decide to make some videos about it before creating a game page, you could always post them in a blog for MotW. That might actually catch a lot of people's attention, and it'd be completely justified as it's preview material for a sequel-of-sorts for this game.

Unsurprisingly, I don't mind if you talk about serious topics in these videos. It's not like MotW was never supposed to have any connection to reality and real issues, right? Then again, it's easier for me to not get offended or angry or whatever, since our views on many things are very similar.
As a little background example: Germany does indeed have a more regulated and partially state-controlled health care system, which I think is the better way to organise it. However, there are also a number of problems and really stupid exceptions in that system. The dumbest one is probably that once your income exceeds a certain limit, you are allowed to switch over to a private health insurance provider and are no longer forced to stay with the public ones. Which does not only mean that the people who can afford this usually get superior health care service, but also that rich people do not have to contribute money to the public health care system, and the rest of society is deprived of that share. Pretty ridiculous, if you ask me.

Back to the topic of the Let's Play: I think it would be great to have some more guest appearances. Especially if ArtBane could make it, I'm convinced that would be some really interesting commentary. I haven't seen him around much for a rather long time, so I hope he's doing all right.

The mole people question is something I've been curious about for a long time as well. They were never really given a lot of attention either by the other species of Solest or from an "official" lore perspective. I wonder whether Gallia was ever out to get them as well...

Anyway, thanks for another episode, and sorry for the exaggeratedly long response. I'm looking forward to the next video!
I think the Mole folk are so well-hidden and seemingly uncivilized that Gallia never gave them a second thought. There are advantages to be considered a wild animal.

I may show the first few scenes of Legacy once they're ready, so that would include a tutorial battle, a major early story scene and possibly more. ArtBane's the only one who's seen any of it in action so it'd be a big deal.

I appreciate your offer for help. What do you consider your specialty? Most of my needs will likely be graphical in nature, maybe the occasional script issue although I got many of them done years ago thanks to Fomar.

Hm, yeah. Graphics and scripting are unfortunately my biggest weaknesses as well, so I doubt I can be of any use there. My greatest specialty by far is definitely eventing, I can create entire battle systems just using events if necessary. But since you've been using RPG Maker for much longer than me, and have worked with ArtBane, who is also really good at those kinds of things, I'm not sure if I could really contribute anything helpful in that area, either.
I also like to think I'm not too bad at designing puzzles and minigames and such (though again, probably not as good as ArtBane), and I consider myself a very thorough tester. I don't know if I would be able to take some of the workload off of you in any of those areas, but if nothing else, I can at least try to help by testing, providing feedback and discussing ideas.
Yeah I definitely got stuck on that puzzle. Even called in a friend who is an engineer to help with the logical number sequencing. I think in doing so I only put myself deeper into the box of inflexible thinking ;)

Funnily enough, I never had any problems with that number puzzle whatsoever. When I saw the number panel, I thought it was really obvious that one of the digits was supposed to represent the input order of the other digits. But I agree it's not the most player-friendly puzzle in the game, especially since it's so different from almost all the other ones you encounter before this point.
Come to the think of it, I may have an issue on my hands that could involve eventing as a solution, but I need to mess around more with what what's already here before I know for sure.

What also might be helpful is the fact that you seem to have stayed in the midst of the RM community for the last few years while I was semi-retired. If you know of any sites that have graphical resources (sprites/faces/battlers, etc) for VX Ace, that could help a great deal with these early stages.

Don't worry, I won't be afraid to ask for help! My skill set is so one-sided I typically don't have much of a choice.

To be honest, my involvement with the RM community as a whole is rather limited. I'm only really active here on RMN. But I'll keep my eyes open for anything that might be useful. Is there a specific graphical style you're looking for?
Well, rather than go into the nitty gritty of the design here, I'll PM you the master design document with some info on what elements still need work in the early stages. I'll edit it and hopefully get it out in like the next day or two.
