*This is a revised review after the author updated the demo, and now highlights what was done well as opposed to pointing out issues.
Curse of Chromia is an early attempt at somebody trying out RPG Maker VX/Ace. The plot isn't something you'd find in a larger scale game, but this is just a demo and text can always be added later. I've broken down the various categories of the game's content, and give my opinion on them.
Story (2/5): It's nothing special, but it's there to give you a reason to keep playing. For an early attempt at making an RPG Maker game, I wouldn't expect much of a story, as entering text into boxes isn't something people try much of when learning new game design software.
Graphics (4/5): The enemies were all pretty much ripped from the Final Fantasy 1 + 2 remakes. Spells were pretty standard animations. The after-battle quotes were a nice touch, as were the modified menus. Maps are what you would expect from the RTP tilesets.
Sound (4/5): Standard RTP sound, although some situations had some ill-fitting music.
Gameplay (4/5): Pretty standard turn-based gameplay, scripts used work well, and I didn't encounter any technical glitches.
Overview: It's not something that will be winning any kind of huge reward, but with further work it could be a game well worth your time.

I gotte be honest I made the changes, and am working on it, but I did not update the demo download so far, it is still the old version.
Although I'm hoping to put a new demo up today or maybe tomorrow.
UPDATE: Demo added ^^

The game is definitely a lot better now, kind of reminds of Final Fantasy II but with more directions on where to go. There is one problem though: I'm having an issue at the ruins where when I go to place the Sun Stone in a certain door, the game freezes. I'm assuming that's not the end of the demo.
Hm can't reproduce that freeze, works fine with me... And no, it's definitely not the end of the demo ^^
I had another freezing issue where after getting the shard, I tried to walk out and the game froze. I reloaded and left through the hole and it worked, but I'm thinking there's an event that can't quite finish when I try and leave the normal way.
I finished the demo. Pretty sure I didn't do 100% of the things I could have done, but comparing everything to what Demo #1 was like, you made a lot of improvements and it's much better now. I'll be waiting for the next installment!
as entering text into boxes isn't something people try much of when learning new game design software.
Nor when writing reviews, apparently. xD Believe me, I know. Typing words is SOOO hard. But still, I'll give you a (4/5) for effort. ;D
I'm not really planning on releasing another demo before the game is finished, but who knows, maybe I'll do it nevertheless.
Still working on some story-technical things currently.

This review doesn't really tell me anything about the game itself besides its visuals, and essentially I could write up the exact same review just by looking at screenshots, and reading the description on the website.
I'm not saying that you did that, as I have no idea, plain and simple. But I have learned nothing about this game from your review because you essentially just make a bunch of blanket statements.
I could also point out how bizarre it is that you rank most of your categories so high, yet you make those features in this game sound boring btw.
If you want to make a better reviews, consider what you want to tell your readers about the game. And at the very least. give us a plot synopsis (that mentions things besides what is written in the official summary.), and maybe offer suggestions towards how he could make it more interesting. Maybe talk about the battle system in a way that someone that doesn't care all that much about how RPGMaker titles are made. This is someones first project. so maybe he's either done something good or bad that you don't usually see from titles like these.
