The previous deck edit menu wasn't quite as clean as I'd have liked. Now the card pages only show one column to make room for the card images, and lost a few rows to make room for a persistent description window.
It took a bit of messing around to get the pages to scroll the way I like. The default way VX Ace changes pages is similar to FF Tactics, which is ugly. Instead, I'm having each page always display the same items. Also, the list of purple card icons was noticeably bad in the previous version. Now the icons show the card's rarity with different colors, which is kind of cute.
I think I'll be using Tsukihime's amazing Overlay Maps script. I really don't like how VX Ace handles tiles, but in some ways, it's remedied with this script.
Should I scrap the day/night system, this song might be the main town's theme. After leaving possible candidates on repeat for extended periods of time, this one seems to be the least obtrusive. Its mixed very well, and the main guitar melody still sounds pleasant when looped and is pretty interesting.
The choice of player, Avatar and Clout character sets changed a bit as well. The player and Clout set of characters were swapped for a potential plot-related reason. It's not too thought out yet, but worth at least planning ahead for.
