Chieko (and her kitsune "Yako")
A demon girl with the job to judge the souls that are transported to Hell's Gate. She takes everything very seriously, but loves to be sarcastic towards others. It is said that her kitsune posessed more people than Chieko is aware of. She loves to play hide and seek with it, which often results in Yako getting lost. Despite her child-like features Chieko is way older than Hisao and his friends; but everyone treats her like a child anyway.




Hayate
A demon that watches over the Otherrealm. It is his job to help ghosts fulfill their last wish so they can move on. His powers are three times larger than those of normal demons - and his ego matches his strength perfectly. Despite this Hayate is an honest man, a smooth talker and someone that understands even the deepest fears of the living. He refers to himself as a noble man. His spoken words have an aura of mystery. Some say if you look him into his dead eye your soul will forever remain in his hands.
