The story of a magical world cast into dire peril by a mysterious villain's attempt to awaken a sleeping evil, and the four heroes whose very presence seems to cause far more mayhem and chaos than the very forces of evil they spend most of their time heroically running from. This is a game for humans.
Originally a comic, this game was made by the writer after the artist had enough of the writer chaining him to his desk and whipping him continuously until he forced out another comic. The writer later just learned to draw and began drawing the damn comic himself. But between those points, this game was made.
Though the creator is currently fighting through art school and a job, he still manages to crank out the occasional update at valsalia.com.

I finally got around to trying this game out. It was pretty funny, and I had a good time (although I've only played for a couple of hours). It's too bad you got a couple of bad reviews; there's almost no justification for a 1-star rating on this game.

I got a chance to play this game. This is so friggin' funny, I've never laughed so hard while playing an RPG Maker game.
The gameplay sucked, though. The battles were incredibly slow-paced, and it didn't feel like my characters were leveling up fast enough, not to mention there isn't many recovery points in the game, and it relied heavily on preparation. The fact that there was almost no recovery from statuses like paralysis also topped it. A game like this really doesn't deserve to have such mediocre gameplay, seriously.

You can escape from battles, but with 2K/2K3 it's different. Where it says Fight/Escape, the Escape doesn't work there. However, once you select fight, scroll down through the menu until Escape pops up (passed the Item command). Not sure why it's set up like this, but thre you go.

Guess that's why it's called Legendary Legend. Hard battles, but the humor seems more important.

I did some research and discovered that this game was based on a comic of the same name, but the game stopped updating when the two parties who made the comic parted ways. The artist decided to move on to other things.
