In a world of monsters and kings there is a legend of a great evil that appears every 500 years to ravage the countryside. It is at this time that a hero appears bearing the mark of light to quell the darkness and return peace to the lands. It is an ancient tale that has been repeated time and time again without change. Until one day the evil returns...20 years earlier than normal. The search for the hero begins and the people scour the lands until they find their champion with the mark of light...in a crib. Can the hero of light stand a chance against the forces of darkness in this state? That all depends on you.

This is you. The Hero of Light. You must use your wits, skills and fast crawling to conquer the dungeons and defeat The Darkness.
D is for Dungeon is your classic dungeon crawler with a few twists. Enemies await you around every corner.
Preparation is key as one wrong move or point in the wrong stat may lead to certain doom. That is until you respawn and respec your characters.
Failure is only what you make of it in this world so experiment as much as you want. Find the layout that works best for you.

-Active Time Battle System with up to 4 party members. Use your wits to act before the monsters do.

-3 different difficulties. Choose "Casual", "Hardcore" or "Grinder" to fit your play-style.

-Make the characters all your own by customizing all the parameters each level and choosing up to 66 skills to equip.

-Choose your allies wisely from among 12 unique classes from "Armsmaster" to "Pyrolancer" to "Sentinel".

-Traverse 25 floors in 4 unique locales crawling with treasures, monsters and puzzles.

-No random encounters. Monsters roam the floors and chase the player when they spot them.

This is my first completed RPG Maker game and submission for the Humble Bundle Indie Contest.
It should take you a good afternoon to finish on the harder difficulties.
Have fun! I know I had a lot of fun making it.

is this saitama as a baby xD

Heh, I should make a one-punch mode. Where running into enemies makes them explode.
Would love to play that on twitch ! Looks fun and awesome!
A literal dungeon crawler... why has no one made this before? Downloading ASAP.
Hey there! This is Satori with JayIsGames! We just wanted to let you know that our review for D is for Dungeon has made it to our frontpage! Thanks for making it, and be sure to let us know when or if you release another title - we'd love to take a look at it and consider it for another potential review!

Really solid and well balanced, I'm always a huge sucker for RPGs that give you free reign in customizing your party's jobs, skills, and stats, even though I have no self-restraint when it comes to making dumb builds.
Case in point: got all the way to the final boss with no HP or Bulk upgrades on all but one single character, who was unkillable and would just spam life powder if any enemy survived the min-max DPS storm long enough to get a single hit off.
Was kinda bummed when the final boss's spell that hits everyone and ignores counter/reflects forced me to undo my stupidity, but I had my fun anyway.
LOL VERY FUNNY GAME XD i never expect playing as a baby could be so fun i love this xD good job
Finally played this after years due to being inspired by Starbaby.

Still not done. On first boss floor...

Hehe. Babee as the default name. Heh.

Using Violet of Starbaby. Max Brains Grinder.
Okay, that means my Psi Bolt can one-shot Cute Slimes. Useful.

But my basic attack sucks. And I don't think I should've used my Fire Bolt scroll. Probably should've sold it for a summon.

Can't do that, but trials learned that Bats... Err, Winged Rats, don't always flee. Sometimes both of them stay. Freebie item's a great skill though.

Slimes know how to guard? Interesting.
Wow, my 6 Brains, no gear, only let me barely survive two Fresh Zombies...

Wait, wow, so loot stays with me even if I need to take a nap? ... Took me multiple times until I noticed an unexpected opened chest...
The possible slowness of Citizen Snips is really helpful for beating them.

If I wanted to be efficient, I would've ground for tons of Dragon's Breaths to just get as far down as the boss before actually fighting anything.
Guagura or whatever, I guess are Metal Slimes, but they also mean that they're safe for me to encounter.
So, Guard is utterly useless when Solo. Just makes battles take longer.

So, for High Brains characters, fighting against Witch Ghost / Ghost Witches, are the best opponents... They deal least damage. Like, Black Magik can deal 0 damage. wow.

Ghost Witches only have magic? So I can Freebie Item forever after getting 12 Brains and Meditation!

So, best to summon right after a level up because then the summon is of the next level... hm.
Phrasing issues in the intro:
"blood-shed" could be "bloodshed". The box is big enough.

stress was taken > stress had taken

Come closer hero > Come closer, hero
