Well Eve Reverse sounded kind of lame over time and since I changed almost all the graphics for the game, I might as well do away with the name as well.
So here it is, my one and only dump of info/screens until the game is released.
Synopsis:
The year is 2060. Civilization finally bears witness to peace, unity, and endless opportunities. The world has been modernized and 80% of the human populace now live in large, mega metropolises that scatter around bordered countries. Although geographical segregation is evident. The world has been united and conformed by an international entity simply referred to as "R.I.N.G".
In these modern times, there lives a young rural girl by the name of Alicia. Alicia lives in the small town of Kettle, which is quite far away from any major city. She is a young and upcoming scientist, who some even refer to as a "prodegy". In this small peaceful town, an epidemic has a occurred. Many of the towns people have gone missing without a trace.
With no where to turn, the town contacts city officials and an agent by the name of Gabriel is sent in to investigate. Gabriel happens to be a close friend of Alicia's father and recognizes her. The meeting is short-lived however when a town member discovers a mutated and disfigured human remains. Alicia and Gabriel decide to tackle this case together, as it seems there is something deeply disturbing going on in this town.
Characters:
Alicia:
Age: 24
A young an upcoming scientist. Everyone in town (in which she was born in) seems to rely on her expertise and she has really found her place here. Alicia works directly under her father in the city but she has been relocated to Kettle for research purposes. She collects samples of a many special plant life found in the region and also works on other research projects. When the mysterious missing case incident occured, Alicia felt compelled to get to the bottom of it.
Gabriel:
Age: 34
Gabriel is part of a secret investigative sect dispatched by R.I.N.G. He works for the common safety of the nations and has full authority of executing any methods when it comes to investigating and suppressing information for the "good" of the nations. A veteran so to say, he's cocky yet very intuitive. Gabriel has a long history of success and he would probably be willing to tell you all about it, but he would have to kill you if he did.
Chris:
A free loader, he doesn't seem to have any purpose in life other then to travel nomadically. He meets Alicia by chance and is awed by her beauty and decides to follow her stating "It isn't safe for young girls to travel around alone". There always seems to be hints of something more to him aside from his comedical prowness. Alicia doesn't seem to mind as he seems to be quite resourceful.
There are more characters but if I were to give character bios of them it would spoil the story as the time-line of the game is a key factor of the main story. So yeah, got to wait and play for yourself.
Gameplay Mechanics:
I like writing stories and making things look visually appealing and fun. I'm not really big on gameplay as it's really time consuming for me but I do recognize how very important it is. With that said, I did my best in this part. I have not completed much of yet aside from some of the battle system but here are some of the features I'm working on.
- Modified DBS with Diangular (Suikoden Style) battle system
- Navigation system, This system makes it mandatory to have certain items, mechanic equipment, and other things to traverse caves. I implmented it in one map so far and it worked out well.
- Additional menus, I didn't make a custom menu system, however I'm working on additional menus that will show off some information/stats from side quests stuff
- 8 directional system, I know some people think it's clunky so I made it so it's only activated at certain times when you just need to be able to move every direction.
- Run System, very common but useful, I know how you folks like to get to the point with things.
Any other features will be added/implemented as I progress in the game. If I come up with something that is feasible and will add to the game overall, I might take a swing at it.
