Wait, what is this???

Hello players!
Now I'm reviewing a couple of projects found here, whose downloads no longer works (they were both released in 2007, so it's 17 years). But WAIT! Don't worry, because you can still get these through Waybackmachine! Here are the links:
- https://web.archive.org/web/20071011081053/http://www.kobrasrealm.net/ashen/crap/june_onehour.rar

Now what are these? Two old projects made for one hour contest by Trance2, the author of a really interesting fantasy (demo) game called Sagawind! It's curious how Sagawind has two different demos, and here we have two different projects both under the same page! There is a little difference (well more to be honest), those demos were made with Rpgmaker 2003, while the projects here are instead created with Rpgmaker 2000.
Anyway let's begin with the first:

You are.......... BATMAN? No! Ironman? The RpgmakerAddict? What?

You are...
This is a simple cutscene inspired by the song "You Are My Love" from Tsubasa Chronicle, it's about a young dying girl outside in the snow, waiting for her true love. If you want you can listen to the song (in english) clicking HERE, and that's good because the dev committed a sin: forgetting to add music to the cutscene! Come on! It's a single map with the girl that moves around, snow falling, and there is even a custom menu screen really well done... all more or less perfect bu absolutely no sound nor music? I cannot accept this, sorry. Uhm also the translation seems a bit... off. Anyway that's not as wrong as the lack of music (it breaks the atmosphere), of course. Good mapping anyway!

Hey I was not wrong! There IS Batman in this game... even if it's Adam West and not Bruce Wayne!

Tales of Great Gazoo as told by his brother: Charlie
Uh. That's hard to explain. Well there is the Great Gazoo from the Flinstones (a tiny, green, floating alien who was exiled to Earth from his home planet Zetox as punishment for having invented a doomsday machine, a weapon of immense destructive power), except that isn't here and his place is taken by his... well... brother, named Charlie, even if it does not look like him except for the green color, and this is one of the topics. He will discuss about the Great Gazoo's problems, then he'll be interrupted by Adam West and that's it. There is a lot of random humor and swearing. Not really funny if you want my personal opinion, anyway this time there IS some music (not in on the main screen nor in the beginning) and sounds, so from this point it's an improvement. On the other hand mapping is so minimal that's a step backward compared to the previous project.

Final Verdict
Well, what can I say? I'm not sure that resuming these two project from the forgotten part of the web was a great idea, since they're pretty meh. But this is probably understandable since they were made in a hurry for the one-hour game contest, of course! Anyway now you know this and you are free to try or ignore them. My personal advice? Well, take your time to play Sagawind instead! In any case, these are the two "games", mission accomplished!
