DIGITAL IDENTITY CRISIS

This is totally cool. And little strange, considered Talon turns the monster upside down with with water the beast emerged from.
(It has been on my wishlist for months, so I'm glad to see the release nearby)

JRPG Logic I suppose. The same that allows for Sabin to be able to Suplex a freaking GHOST TRAIN. Wait is almost over!
Sabin had the power of a thousand badasses.

And I believe Curtis has that power times a zillion :)!
Looks cool! Does the game use ATB combat, "pure" turn-based or lets you switch between both?
I've been told it's a conditional (as you call it: "pure") turn-based battle system, so you can choose your actions for the following turn as if you had all the time in the world, then you start the turn and all battle participants automatically execute their actions based on their agility. If this battle system had featured ATB without a proper wait function, I wouldn't have considered buying this game.

OK, thanks! Yeah, I'm also not a big fan of ATB: it can work sometimes, but is usually inferior to regular turn-based, or conditional/simultaneous action systems.
Yes, it's a turn based game. You select all your commands at the beginning of the rounds and they are executed in order based on speed and other variables. Some skills have speed bonuses as well. Understanding this order is important to making good strategic choices.
