Dead To The Future!

Evilgod in disguise and me clueless about clues.

I heard this story before. Days of The Future past or Back To The Future are alike. I definitely read something like Slaine with a ghost too.
Still Ghost Visit is cool and somehow original. Its Scale is kept small. That is always nice and it helps to build atmosphere, which is critically important for the game. It works great for the majority of time.
The game is started with cinematic intro, lighting effects are exceptional. Then to the village. Looks like a standard beginning of a standard RPG. And you wear a table-hat. Story-building alongside world-building is handled superbly. The world of the game is limited to a village. And even the small village is sometimes too big for needs of the story.
The only one i can see is Arthur's love interest. She is so beautiful and probably talented. I, Arthur, want to be with her.
But then there is this ending. Violent in its manners. Is this what my dead self would do? I'm not so sure about it. It's too easy, too straight. This definitely feels rushed. There should be one more part. More activities...

This probably the point which sold most players.

You walk around and speak. You walk around as ghost and speak and hear something different. The problem is that it doesn't change anything important. You can read minds, so what? There are some good activities tasks, such as collecting of vines and the one with the shopkeeper. But there are no clues in minds of people. Or maybe I'm so dull. The Angry Lady can be a disguised demon. 'KILL THEM ALL,' says it all. And Villains often speak with capital words.
So if there were any, I didn't noticed them. They are too subtle, I guess.

To sum it up, Ghost Visit is worth a visit. The interesting fact is, that it's not for it's story or for the ghost. It's the atmosphere, which is sooo good. It really embraces me. There is lot of factors, which make this happen. The story, tints, mechanics, music...
Maps are very good and although some decisions can seem to be a little strange, they are there for the whole to benefit to them. It's definitely worth a mention, that the game was made with 2k3 RTP. The Author moved some object from one chapset to another, but that's the only change from a vanilla state.
Selection of music helps too. Again, It shows how good can well-used RTP be. Excellent choice of tracks. They paces the game slow, covering it with a foggy cloak of mysterious.
Welp, Good Job, Golden Roy.

Wow so many new Cap reviews. Good job!

Also it seems like this is one of the highlights of the contest. I better play it soon.
Thanks a bunch for the review!
The ending is indeed very rushed, the story presented is just a fraction of what I wanted to tell. I got a little bit ahead of myself with a pretty big plot for a contest which is only a week, so I had to make some.. adjustments.
But I'm really glad the game is still well recieved!
