Game Download is up!

After that ordeal last night, I'm happy to announce that the game is up!

I give another fair warning that this was meant to be something silly made in three days. Even if it ended up taking a week instead (surprise surprise), it's still a silly game. xD

Combat is the weakest contender. And I think the burn out towards the final dungeon is apparent, but the story is still what it should be and something that I think is charming and fun in its own right. :) I hope that it can be enjoyed.

We did a lot of play testing, but please let me know if anything was missed or overlooked.

I'm really nervous!!! hahaha

Enjoy :)

Some dumb things I'm aware of
* In the Dirt Zone Dungeon, they are talking about a key before they know why they are looking for a key. Intuition.
* Battles are a joke xD (at least this fact is lampshaded by the characters?)
* The final dungeon is really... a mess. Again, lampshaded by the characters in spots.
* Cindy's mechanics are totally broken to the point where I swear she does NOTHING anymore??

If you downloaded version 1.0 (fixed in version 1.01)
* Typo in Victor's character description. because I rock something awesome. (typo 5 seconds into the start of the game

You're very welcome! I finished the game and, OMG, I loved it! :DDDDD

It's not perfect, and like you said the battles are a joke, but those two! They MAKE the game! I picked Fermat as the protag, as I like the snarky type, and dived into the game! It did NOT disappoint! :DDDDD

A few nitpicks:

You can stand here on top of the tree. (Also, some of the treetops in the lower right look kinda wonky)

You can stand on top of the door. (And shortcut through)

I seem to have gotten some of Victor's moves. Dunno if that's intentional.

Also, the final dungeon: The gimmicks for the areas weren't too bad, especially the ghost one, which I thought was a lot of fun. But the constant battles, especially when they yield no EXP and aren't really balanced, wore out their welcome a little bit. A little fewer battles between you and the last boss there would have been nice.

All in all, this was a short but delightful play! This was worth the (not long at all) wait ^_______^ The mapping is super-gorgeous, too! (But given who mapped it, that makes sense XD) Two thumbs up from me!
Thanks for playing!! I'll fix those mapping errors, and the ones Indrah spotted while she was playing.

I'm glad you enjoyed it!! Fermat and Victor really -do- make the whole game. My precious babbes. I want to do something else with them sometime.

With Prin and the Queen still at large, there's some plot thread to run with. I would NOT use 2k3 again though lol Besides, we need to know the details of their sea-side date ;D

And yeah, you are supposed to have some of Victor's skills in that fight, and Victor has some of Fermat's. It's just a little hint that at this point their powers are blending over each others because they are both the Overlord. ;D If that makes sense.

Did the game crash loading that fight, btw? Because we think the issue might be another 'Actor 1' issue. since Victor is actor 2 and Fermat is actor 1. I've only ever seen it crash when playing as Victor.

Lowering the encounter rate even further is def. on my todo list for an update. (It was set to a pretty high step count, but seems it needs to go a bit higher even yet.) Were there any maps specifically that seemed bad? (The fire and dirt ones are on my hit lists for sure. Probably the stone one as well. I didn't find the ice one to be that bad when playing or when watching Indrah play, but we both knew the path)

ahh I'm glad you enjoyed it though! Thanks for playing <3

YES! You make it, and I will play it! :D I want more! (And I don't blame you about 2k3. As a game maker it's, well... got a lot of problems. XD;;)

YES. SEA-DATE! And I really loved the other characters, too. Aside from our mains, Prin was my fav.

"And yeah, you are supposed to have some of Victor's skills in that fight, and Victor has some of Fermat's. It's just a little hint that at this point their powers are blending over each others because they are both the Overlord. ;D If that makes sense."

That makes sense! I thought it might be something like that, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.

I had no crashes during the whole thing. Hopefully that helps ^_^

The only one I can see maybe being a problem for some people is the sky one with the warps, but by putting the enemies on-screen you got rid of a lot of the frustration of choosing the wrong warp, so it's not a big deal or anything in my opinion. Near the end of that map, I have to admit that I saved before stepping on a warp, just in case >.<;;; :P

I actually kind of liked the maze one. I like figuring those out and that was just the right length.

Aside from cutting down the encounters, nothing else really stuck out to me as a big problem or anything.
