Game Dev update 21/9/15

Oh wow!!! its been over a month since I updated this, time is going so fast but we've got so much done.

At the moment we're furiously drawing maps as the events and quests call for them.

Added

15 New maps
Quest log tracker
over 30 new npcs
a GIGANTIC amount of items/weapons and armors if I never have to look at the list again I will be very very happy.
10 new enemies including boss fights.

Game Dev update 1/8/15

Hey guys!

Its been 2 weeks since out my last update, so I thought it was time to throw an update out there.

The last few weeks have been going through bug fixing, and balancing out item/weapon and enemy troops. Not much has been added in terms of game progression and maps.

But hopefully I will release a demo of Haven in the coming weeks for you guys to try out and hopefully give some feedback on.

Game Dev update 15/7/2015

Another big week for Haven

This week so much has been done, here's a quick list

  • The town of Silver Thorn is 90% complete

  • Day night cycles are fixed - NPC's will say different things depending on the day

  • 20 NPC's fleshed out each with at least 2 "game" weeks of dialog

  • The Firite Mines maps are complete

  • New character portraits for 'Elora' and 'Vincent' are done

  • 20 new character portraits for the NPC's of Silver Thorn are complete and in place

  • all Cut scenes and 'cut images' are finished for the first chapter of the game


I'm still on target for a late October release with Andorlea and hopefully steam.

I'm still really enjoying the whole process of creating the world and the lore surrounding it. On release of the game there will also be a Digital E-Book for the Lore of Haven, I think I'm as excited to get that out there as I am about the game itself.

Haven Update 7/3/15

Hey guys,

Been a busy week here again, clocking more then 6 hours a night on Haven, getting it ready for its first play test/bug hunt. We've added the complete intro sequence and first chapter where Vincent and Elora escape from Lothrak prison to the safety of the Goblok village.

Haven update 27/6/15

Hey guys,

Been developing Haven absolutely non stop, been a huge week. We got a message from aldorlea.org , who have been super kind and offered to put Haven on their site once completed and help with getting it onto Steam if they are happy with it (fingers crossed).

This week have been devoted to getting the first hour of game play ready to go through QA , we have a few people who have offered to bug test and provide feedback so that should be going ahead mid next week and then we'll start regular QA testing each small step and make sure Haven is bug free.

If anyone from the community here wants to volunteer to play test Haven, drop me a message we like getting feedback on what you guys think.

- Completely changed the character sprites, the default style did not fit the 'feel' of haven and I wanted something more realistic and dark looking

Big day update

im trying to keep my eyes open typing this, I've spent over 40 hours working on Haven in the last 5 days after work and my god i'm tired.

But I have made some huge headway.

June Week 3 update:

.Added / Created 18 new character portraits for Male / Female and Monsters
.finished 5 Maps
Haven
Silvis Forest
Dead Grotto
Lothrak Catacombs
Lothrak Sewers




.Added lighting effects to overlay maps , the forest and Haven look pretty amazing
with the extra light shafts and the Cave area in Silvis forest is looking pretty badass too :D

What is to come in the next week ahead:

I'm working on getting a playable Demo of the game ready but only in between development time which i have scheduled to minimum of 5 hours a night and 18 hours on Tuesdays and Sundays to keep up with my anticipated release date of October.

been hard at work putting some finishing touches on maps in haven, just finishing the Lv 1 Magic store in the main town 'Haven'
