Often, I find my email inbox filled to the brim with questions from some of Legionwood's most eager fans. In an effort to save time (both for myself and players) I've transcribed and answered some of the most frequently asked questions here. I hope they help you! If the question you have is not covered here, feel free to contact me.

1. How do I cross the water in Charn Canal?

You need to collect the wood that is scattered around. You can place the wood on the water (at the marked places) to create a makeshift bridge.

2. How do I solve the crystal pushing puzzle in Sheerbark Ruins?

This is actually a rather simple (if vague) puzzle. You just need to have the two crystals swap places, and then push them up/down onto the adjacent arrow tiles that face the statue. Once you've done this, talk to the statue to advance.

3. How do I advance in Border Desert?

If you've defeated Fenrir already, there will be an old skeleton in the sand. The skeleton will set on a certain side of the screen. Simply use the skeleton as a guide and head in the direction it has marked for you. After about five screens you'll emerge in the dungeon proper.

4. What is the code for the door in the Maximum Security Prison?

If you can't figure out the code, this is what it is; 4842

5. How do I defeat the Tome Keeper?

The Tome Keeper can't actually kill you unless your HP has fallen below fifty percent. Simply keep healing with Healing Haze, and keep attacking him with physical attacks or Energy Bomb. So long as you are keeping up with your healing, he can't defeat you.

6. What is the code in the Lost City of Crebt?

When you access the computer to enter the code, you can see an option to recieve a clue. The clue itself is the city's motto - simply take the first letter from each word in the motto and you'll have the code. Easy, non?

7. How do I unlock the Rift Monument?

You'll need the five Pins of Creation and the Pin of Zenith to open this area. You can get the Creation pins from completing the following quests;
1. Finding the wedding ring in Upperthorne,
2. Retrieving the Mythril in Klaim,
3. Finding the Wyrmwood in Arcanist's Tower and giving it to the mortician in Charn (before chapter 4 only),
4. Finding one in Marilith's Tomb,
5. Defeating the pirates in Rhasphodus after the fall of Greenvale.
The Pin of Zenith can be found by sailing to the Shrine of Hate, which is in the Aldagard Archepelago and is opened after you get the Sword of Lore. You need to defeat Hate Seeker to get it.

8. How do I unlock the Makir Arena?

The arena automatically opens after you get the Sword of Lore. You can fight Serra here. Defeating her nets you the Divine Wand, the best spellcaster weapon.

9. What do I get for defeating Rift Entity?

Defeating Rift Entity gets you two Creation Blades and two Zenith Armors. These are the game's best equipment. Good luck defeating Rift Entity though! His HP numbers above 400,000! I personally have not managed to beat him.

If you can't beat your own created boss than maybe you should not put it in the game.
Well, everybody can defeat that rift entity...even for me.
Uh, this page was written a few years ago. I'm sure he's been beaten many times.

@asiami: it's an optional boss, in the spirit of Final Fantasy's superbosses.

lol he's got the point there yeah I myself did beat him 2 times ;)
I used the orb of origins and the game crashed before I saved... Tough fight XD
Thanks for reporting. I'll take a look at that.

Beating the fight is kinda just for the challenge at any point, the Orb will only give you equipment you don't really need.
I really have to say this is a great game. I am an older(66) rpg gamer, and this is actually a very challenging game. I have played commercial games that were easier to grind through and became boring after a while. One aspect I find that makes the game great is the monsters ability to catch you off guard. I have had to more than once change my tactics in the middle of a battle,or stop to rethink my methods of attack. I myself believe that this is the mark of an outstanding game. Monsters that I thought I had down as to weakness would over and over surprise me,and catch me off guard. I am a hobby assembler programmer, and I can see that a great deal of logic and skill went into the aspects of the monsters and how they attack. This is not a simple thing to program, and I am very impressed with DarkGaia's skills in this respect. I fought the Rift dragon and even at max level(99) it was not an easy battle to win. Even some of the minor bosses were harder than I had expected. When I fought the last battle I really had to push my gaming skills to the max to beat Castorah(sp) I have probably played over a thousand RPG's over the years both minor and major and this game has really made my day. I consider this a real gem in the world of RPG gaming.

One last comment, only one other game has impressed me this much. I am not sure if Last Scenario was done with RPGmaker or not,but is very impressive and well worth checking out. The person who did that game(pure rpg) also has done a strategy game in the much larger world of ExitFate. Do a search on google on these two fine games.

I find myself also impressed with the RPGmaker in general for its ability to make game making much easier for people who are not skilled in General programming.
I don't know if I missed something or it's from the new mac version, but I can't seem to find the other object used in the Shrine of Hate. (I forget how I even got the other golden sphere (if that's the name) that was used there, but I digress) I don't know if this helps, but I'm trying to find the one on the right that says 'The Tyrant was a being of hate and his lust for power made him into a creature from the abyss. His spirit was cursed to wander limbo eternally, suffering an eternity of cleansing pain as atonement for his crimes. In death he will be twisted even more than he was in life.'

Does this help any? I'm trying to do the various side quests in this game this time around.
The Mac version doesn't have any gameplay differences, so both of the Image Half items should be in their original places. You obtain one half from the alchemist in the cabin near Charn and the other half can be found in Chapter 4 (either in Marilith's Tomb or the Peregrin Canyon -- I actually can't remember which!)

Ah, I know which one I need to get now, thanks :)
I actually have one more question Gaia. I did notice that the study enemies skill doesn't work on a number of monsters and it says that you have to unlock them in the monster book. Is it possible to successfully scan these monsters or is that a fancy way of saying no? I'm asking since I'm trying to make a full monster list for people who play this game.
Where is the rift monument? have looked everywhere. Also, I have the sword of Lore but can;t open the door in Gaia's cavern. What do I do now?
@Silius: It's basically a fancy way of saying no. Those dungeons are supposed to be more mysterious, so the enemies are unknown until you unlock them in the Beast Book.

@sablerulz: The Rift Monument is a pyramid in Trevelle that you can't reach until late in Chapter 4. After getting the Sword of Lore, you need to travel to Dynastland -- look for it on your world map.
Hi there. So will the uses of the golden image and the pins of creation or whatever become apparent during the main plot or do i have to really hunt to find out what to do with them? Just curious. c:
They're side quest items only. Not relevant to the main plot at all. It's meant as something for people who love to explore to uncover. If you collect all of them, you can fight the optional superboss and unlock a slightly different ending.
do the luck charm's effects stack if you equip more than one?
