Last Quest IV: The Prequeling Disc 2 Underway

After more than half a decade, the game that ended on a total cop-out is finally getting a second half.

Brace yourselves for the final part of a hastily made game from 2015 that players described as:

"What happend to 3,2,1....?" - riderx40

"Yes, this is something every freaking RPG does and it annoys the crap out of people, so of course, it MUST be apart of this event!" - pianotm

Continue the story of our hero Larz as he ignores the consequences of destabilizing a regional government, seeks out pop-culture references that have been out of date for nearly a decade, and seeks out the true evil.

Experience what has served as a cathartic outlet for me as I deal with trying to run a mental health clinic in the midst of a global pandemic. A sequel motivated purely by stress and alcohol, coming at some point this year!

Miscellaneous

Version 1.02 Quick Fix

It was brought to my attention in a Let's Play video that a late-game skill did not function, and I missed the dialog for a few NPCs. These issues have been corrected. There are still balance issue related to easy grinding and underpowered bosses, but I likely won't fix these until after the contest, as they would require more hours of testing than I have time for between now and the end of the contest.

Why the 1.01?

In case anybody was wondering why the game was changed to Version 1.01 within minutes of release, I realized that there was an issue with the Poison status effect outside of battle. Because the RM2000 maker labels remain in an Engrish state, the input boxes for "Damage" and "Steps" are mislabeled. I had meant to inflict 1 HP damage every 10 steps, but it was inflicting 10 HP damage every 1 step. Anybody could see that this would be a major issue if the player was afflicted with Poison.
