Out in the murky backwaters of that bit of space nobody wants to admit visiting even by accident lies a small planet shrouded in the dark sorcery(or is it sufficently advanced tech?) of the dark wizard Maitre, magic emperor of all demons, master of mean monsters & many other titles he thought up himself during the long lonely nights as a space wizard.
Four presumably plucky youths of unspecified age must travel the land to purge it of evil and uncover the truth behind the sinister goings on using their wits, courage and freely assignable stat points!

You need to color-correct the sprite rips you're using. All grays on the sprites should be moved down a tone. Same goes for anything that in the original games that was on the sprite layer, such as the treasure chest. I've noticed the same weirdness in the memory examination in emulators, maybe that's why.
The more titles I see of this style, the more I get inspired to make a black and white retro title.
I even already have all the sprites for FFL 1,2,3 and Adventure in my library.

This game has been fun so far from what I've played of it, though I do wonder if the completion year of '2105' will ever be fixed.
