Disaster has struck an ordinary girl in a seemingly ordinary kingdom. Lost in the frozen wastes of the Northern Mountains, Marsha must find her way out. When she does, she finds herself embroiled in a story of intrigue as she's joined by Harold, his officers, Lucius and his sister Therese, and a mysterious thief who may or may not be the architect of the coming disaster.

Made for the MVLYMPICS event, this is my first game on RPG Maker MV. It's a rather routine and basic RPG which relies more on its story than its game mechanics.

I hope you will join Marsha and her friends in Etheria as they quest to rescue the survivors from the wreckage of the Zephyr, try to determine who caused the terrible crash, and why. Set in the distant future in a medieval setting, ancient technologies may be discovered and a dark group may be at work.

Yeah, this thing did something really screwy.

That should work now.

Yep, it works.
I beat your demo now and have some screens and some text describing all the things that have attracted my attention.

Forgot to mention, that the parallax is extreme dark when entering a fight between maps. And the skelleton of the man killed in the event before the boss fight is moved to the left exit when reentering the forest after demo ends.

1. Oops. I'll fix that in a new download (not today. It's been taking a really long time to download, I've already had to do it several times today, and RMN isn't wanting to download.)

2. What are you pointing out here? (Unless you're pointing out the spot where the vines end abruptly?)

A) I don't use parallaxes. B) How are you getting encounters between maps? That sounds like it shouldn't be possible.

And the skelleton of the man killed in the event before the boss fight is moved to the left exit when reentering the forest after demo ends.

Damn it. Another thing to add to the list.

What are the vines are for, because you can climb them up?

I'm glad I didn't found some serious bugs. Mainly the text holds the importend gliches.

I mean the background in battles when you run into enemies while entering the next map.

(Goes and checks.) No, you can't climb them. (Don't scare me like that.) No, just for scene dressing.

I was pretty thorough this time around checking for glitches.

It must be because I chose not to use battlebacks. MV has this nice thing it does where if you don't use battlebacks, you fight directly on the map. I still can't figure out where you would end up fighting between maps. I know the vampire battle is dark because I've made that scene as dark as I can, and I know the forest battles are all pretty dark because I've darkened the dungeon. I guess, if you're ending up fighting between maps (which I suppose that happens if you hit one of the touch encounters that you meet coming right off a transfer.), that the reason it goes dark is because the system probably doesn't know which map to use, which there's nothing I can do about that.

But you can climb them! Look at the screenshot of the forest.

Oh, shit. I thought I Xed them all. That vine was way off to the side (on the chipset).

So...I've gone ahead and put up a fixed download.
You can fight on a black screen in the forest, the most left edge where you meet the water, the screen before it. There's a monster near the edge of the screen that can run into you before the game processes the teleport completely so you have just a black background.

There were some text cut-off in the journal (minor), and descriptions really need to be added for stuff (I thought the Flame 1 was the same as Fire 1 and used it on Harold thinking that he might as well have the duplicate. Not so.)

Battles are pretty balanced but I skipped half of them and still managed to destroy the boss, so that many monsters really aren't necessary, especially since they respawn. You could probably cut out a bunch of them.

It's pretty balanced at the start, and gets a lot easier as you go, but I rather enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing the end.

Hmm...I thought as much. Based on what you've said, I guess I can remove that monster.

Yep, here are two cases where I knew I had to do something, even sat down to do it, and for some reason, just didn't. My mother calls moments like these "brain farts".

I just thought I hadn't made the boss hard enough.

Thank you! I've been trying really hard to improve my gam mak, and I'm not being ingratiating or anything, but you are one of the people on this site who's opinion I use as a yard stick.
