Forsaken is a game that needs to be given a chance and played a good amount before judging.

Forsaken...It's a good game with a promising demo and I'm looking forward to it's full release!
Game Play
Forsaken uses a few Yanfly plugins that make it feel more exploration based then battle concentric, it uses the Yanfly plugin:"smart jump" to add interesting puzzles(and also allow players to find strange platforms in the game). When I talk of strange platforms I mean that within the first gate area you can jump onto some of the plants in the water which I found to be funny and also slightly game breaking because,a few plant are supporting a person and game breaking because it means that players can get to a place that should be inaccessible at that point in time by jumping onto plants in the water and using there placement to make it to their desired place. Now while that could be a good thing because it means that secret areas are a possibility it's still something that needs to be clear that they can jump on that and use it as a stepping-stone to get across but,It's mainly that fact that MV has plants as a platform so that players can walk over them.

Battles
The battles in Forsaken are something that I want to touch on because of suggestions and other reasons.Firstly, skills use TP which at first sounds bad but, (like I said) Yanfly plugins are used in this game and so TP is controlled through that and makes the skills that you get less irritating to use because guarding gives 60 TP each time used and attack only gives around 10 TP now, these are reliable when it comes to the first boss because guarding will be your best friend! :) seeing how one of the bosses abilities have to be charged before use and because of this it allows you to prepare for that attack (which is very powerful) and cut down on it's damage dealt.Though, you have only 100 TP maximum and so healing is not a appealing move to go for however, it will help. So to help with the default 100 TP you could use Yanfly's Enhanced TP which will make it so leveling up increases the maximum TP you have(I think...it's Yanfly's Enhanced TP plugin)!Which will make more moves nicer to use and not seem draining.

Story
The story of Forsaken is that you woke up in a temple(I think...) and you meet this person, statue, thing that tells you to break 7 (or so)Seals that will grant you a audience with the Gods. So, it's simplistic and I like that! Because, you don't need to do a 'Final Fantasy' just to get your player engaged with the plot it can be short and sweet (as long as your player knows what's going on) but, one thing is that the game could greatly be help by the use of Gameus' quest system so that if your player hasn't played the game in a long time they can remember what it is they 're doing
you're welcome :)

Final Verdict
Forsaken...is a good game! That like all games has those things that do need improving on.Though,I would never say that it's bad or that you shouldn't play it because it has potential and I bet that when it's finished it'll be Outstanding! The story is good the bosses are how they should be challenging but not impossible
and the game-play is quite solid(minus the plants don't take offence we all suffer from the annoying things in the default tilesets)! So for the score? Well I'd give it a good 4.5 because, most of the problems in it are not even the developer's fault but, things that come naturally with the engine! So that's my thought and suggestions on Forsaken(Did I mention that all the maps are hand done? The music is good too!).
