CloseGlad to hear it. That's actually one of the earlier combat backgrounds that was done but unlike some of the others it hasn't called out for revision.
The tile based backgrounds are interesting to make, you have to keep a basic floor/wall setup but otherwise have a lot of freedom to decorate without worrying about normal playability.

its rare to see a game with battle background be regular mapping.
i forget the name of it but i played one recently where encounters were on screen and the background didn't change at all. it was a pretty cool feature.
and thinking about it dark skinned characters are somewhat rare so its a little refreshing to see.
