Coming Soon

As you all may know, I've been working on the sequel to Monster Hunt. I found the stories between them didn't make much sense and that monster hunt is easily overshadowed. So at some point I'm going to do a Major update to this game.

Here's a list of features I want to add.

-Updated menu (Make it the same menu as the sequel)
-Update all character designs to better match their sequel's look
-Much smoother story
-Menu portrait's for each character
-Remove secret characters and instead make the four main characters have more customization
-Add back in the cut dungeon (Mines)
-Possibly add more enemies, items, weapons etc

An Accidental Update!?

The title truly does describe what happened with this update. Long story short, I was looking for inspiration for the current game I'm working on (Dynastia) and when I played Monster Hunt on a different laptop I had noticed I wasn't able to save in game (Put folder in program files). So I decided to update all the plugins and the game to RPG Maker 1.3.1 to fix this. After doing all this I moved the folder out of program files and I could save and so I decided to add in a couple things while I was fixing the game, so here are the list of changes.

Changes

- All plugins have been updated
- Game updated to pixi 4
- A couple spelling errors were fixed
- Lag fixed on title screen
- Hidden character changed to someone with more personality and more story
- Music changed in cancelled mining dungeon to its proper song
- Cars have been added
- Transitioning through the city is now a lot more easier
- End Game boss has been nerfed
- On screen enemies have been cut to relatively half
- More people in the city
- Train station changed to make the train less awkward looking
- Encryption method to allow you to keep your saves when I update
- Game icon if you want to create a shortcut
- Other Minor Things

What can be fixed or changed

- Woman's dialogue in train station, she calls trains "busses"
- City needs to be more alive (people need jobs and things to do)
- School Mini-game should be expanded on
- Mansion should be there for a reason
- Add the mining dungeon back into the game
- Anything you guys find

Additional info

Due to the small amount of fixes I probably won't update the game for quite some time as I have been devoting my attention to finishing Dynastia. I do plan however on doing a complete overhaul on this game so it will transition better into it's sequel. If you guys do happen to find a ton of bugs I'll try to post an update as soon as I can. Is it the end?

I have had this updated version sitting on my computer for awhile now. hopefully there are not any game breaking bugs.

-Memory Maze temple warp fixed

Whats Next?
I don't plan on adding anything new at the moment, but I might do an graphical overhaul and a huge dialogue update. This will make the game transition better into the sequel Dynastia. However this may very well be years in the future.

Oops!

A minor bug fix today.

-Receiving lab key no longer loops.
-Updated Plugins.
-Reduced file size (Let me know if I'm missing any files!)
-Tried an alternative way to stop enemies from traps in temple (Hopefully can pass through now!)

Also if you were almost done the game in a previous version. send me a message and I'll tell you the password to Leon;s locker which will help you skip events that didn't work.

It works!?

I had posted a download of the earlier version but had never posted a blog about the updates, mostly due to a lack of time. But here is a list of fixes for 1.2.5 and 1.2.6

-Giant appears in the bathroom (It did in previous versions but I changed something in 1.2.4, it is now fixed in 1.2.6)

-Minor things I have forgotten about

That's it! That means the game is coming very close to being bug free. If you find anything let me know. Thanks for trying my game out!

Another update!

I realized the previous link didn't work so I have updated it to one containing all the files. I have also made a couple changes.

-Link is back in Dropbox because can't upload it probably due to file size.

-Ailment has been changed to effect in skills

-Items, Weapons and Armors descriptions have been changed to be more informative

-Final dungeon enemies and bosses now drop the proper items

-Lag severely reduced

-Added dialogue to tell you when city opens up

-Nick's skills have been fixed and tweaked

-Secret characters don't level up as fast (Still faster than main characters)

-Casino is rigged better (Harder to exploit!)

-Added shops in the rich district

-Fixed more dialogue mistakes

-Fixed characters not appearing properly in the final scene

-Other minor things

Maintaining the effect!

After working on this games sequel Dynastia. I had figured out I should fix this game up a bit. I didn't change much but did make a few improvements.

-Download link is now a direct download

-Fixed tons of grammar and spelling errors (were to we're and your to you're)

-Added a tiny bit more dialogue

-Changed inventory limit to 99

-Nerfed Kailyn's burst shot (more hits but a lot less damage)

-Other minor things

New Version is Out!

After my times play testing it I found a huge least of things that needed to be tweaked so here is the list of the fixes.

-Enemies stats have been heavily tweaked in Laboratory Dungeon.

-Ice Puzzle is now solvable

-Crash for battles fixed

-Pub's blue haired lady is fixed

-Sounds added to post man mini-game

-Katherine no longer breaks the forth wall as well as her robot friend

-Recovery spot added in the demon maze as well as a shop

-Enemies don't chase you during conversation

-Hit rate tweaked

-Other minor tweaks

Monster Hunt is complete!

I have added everything I wanted to, to this game and will only be doing bug fixes and difficulty tweaking from now on.

- Coliseum is complete
- Last character has been hidden
- added way to heal before third major boss fight
- Fixed dialogue error at end of game
- Lamia heavily tweaked
- more help bots added
- Super final boss added into coliseum

When it comes to the second part I will create a separate game page as it is very different. I will keep the download link to the demo of it until the game page is made though. Hope you enjoy it and I am still welcoming feedback but also keep in mind it is designed to be mildly difficult.
