The lights look really blown out for the amount of light they're producing. Might want to tone down the contrast on those puppies a bit, or brighten the rest of the scene up.

That's the downside of the flashlight.
The flashlight is a black image with a certain percent of opacity, so most of the area is "darker" than normal.

10 years later, and it's now perfectly possible -- and legal, with it even being integrated into the RM2k3 engine -- to use blend modes with pictures on 2k3. Even with an automatic animated flicker so it looks like artificial lighting. (With the Maniacs patch) Oh boy, how things have flown.

That being said, this project looks coool
