Jul-07-15 Time for Dragon Kingdoms: Trouble with the Elements Deluxe!

After almost fourteen years (!), Dragon Kingdoms IV can now get an official release, as RPG Maker 2000 has officially released.

It shouldn't be too difficult to make this better than its 2001 release (with RPG Tsukuru 2000). Seriously.

Relive the fun through August 7 in celebration of the official North American release of RPG Maker 2000. At midnight sharp, on August 8 it goes back into hiding again, probably to be replaced by an official version this fall.

Welp, it's July 1st and time to close down for the season. Hopefully RMN can turn around before the middle of September... also development will be slowed during this period.

Mar-03-11 Dragon Kingdoms IV- why do people play it?

Seriously, why? What I have up now with this game probably doesn't even meet the content standards of the site (it was grandfathered in, I'd imagine). It only got 0.5 out of 5 stars, which by any measure is BAD. Yet almost 500 people downloaded it, probably to see how bad it is. Hey, it's almost ten years old. A LOT has changed since then.

Oct-24-10 DK4 hits the nine year mark!

It's that time again! Not a lot has been happening with Dragon Kingdoms IV as of late, in fact, the last blog post was exactly a year ago today.

I mentioned an updated version might be made last year, but at this time, I have three different games to keep me busy (Dragon Kingdoms V & VI, and Birth of a Legend), so while it isn't a dead project, it will also be a long while off (probably well into 2012). I also want to make it better than the 0.5 star rating for it indicates. Yeah, it's that bad.

Dragon Kingdoms VI (that's VI, as in 6) should get its own game profile sometime soon, probably early 2011. This much delayed game may finally be getting its legs!

Eight years... time to update?

So, I realized Dragon Kingdoms IV doesn't have any blog entries. Why? Well, until recently, there hasn't been any reason to update. It's been finished... for eight years, almost to date.

It sounds like a good time as any to try to fix up the many things that are wrong with it, as I've noticed reading the comments about it. The walking on water. The spotty mapping. I can't promise an updated version this year, after all, it's almost over. But, it may be ready a short time into 2010. I'll probably be doing a beta-test sometime around the Winter holiday period, probably around the time of Release Something! IX.
