A Game About Woods Exploration

My playtime: 00:20:13 (2 endings, before the last cutscene)

Intro
Flatwoods is an adventure game about a kid who's going to explore the woods. The game has a lot of cutscenes in between.

Graphics
The game uses 8 bit colored graphics which gives a retro feel. The mapping looks odd though, especially the farm.

The farm looks.. weird, don't you think?

Music
The music is relaxing and it gives a good atmosphere (especially when it's combined with the cutscene). I love listening to them.

Story
As i said before, the game has a lot of cutscenes in between. The cutscenes look very cute and it gives the right atmosphere. In fact, i keep on waiting for the cutscenes to show up. There are 2 endings in this game which is affected by the number of metal balls you have. Lastly, i found a typo here (in the mill, the left book). It should be "I really" instead of "Ireally".

The game
Just like other adventure games, you are supposed to find something in other to proceed the story. This game is also following the same concept, although the items are very easy to spot with the "glitters". Well, i'm not really complaining about it because you can interact to almost everything in the game, which can take a significant amount of time if you decide to interact with all of them. The game just become straightforward with you having to find at least 3 keys and 1 hatchet to finish the game. The only time i'm having trouble is to find the last metal ball to get the other ending. Some puzzles will be a nice addition to the game.

Collect the glittering things!

Pros:
- Multiple ending
- Awesome cutscenes

Cons:
- Weird looking maps

Do you see the cutscene? Do you see the background? It's awesome!

Conclusion
This is a short adventure game with awesome custcenes.
