Hello. I am Thanatos.
Okay, technically my name is Seth, but there's too many of us to all go by the same f-ing name.
I was the first one of us to fall, and that means I got first dibs on being the leader of the group.
If you couldn't tell, I love death. It's gotten me a lot more respect than I ever got in life, that's for certain. I'm glad my mortal shell got obliterated by that meteor that hit my house on that fateful day countless years ago. Best thing that ever happened to me.
But I digress. I assume you're completely confused on how it's run here.
First of all, something you must know about us Seths. Because we are a time player,
we have the ability to travel through time.
(you have no idea how confusing it is to try and refer to a single person that is also technically a group that I'm apart of...)
The earlier Seths such as myself didn't know enough about using our talent to make use of it much, but the later ones are quite adept at controlling it to their whim.
A thing almost all of us share though, is the unconscious ability to appear in the alpha timeline after expiring. It's not something any of us can really control, it just... happens usually.
It has its uses, but the most noticeable one is freaking the hell out of Alpha Seth when he finds one of us. Honestly, how would you feel if you found your own dead body from the future?
Thankfully, because they are from doomed timelines, Alpha Seth has the option to avoid the same fate. (Sometimes he still doesn't re-evaluate his situation and winds up dying anyways, but after enough save-scumming, an alpha seth usually succeeds eventually.)
As you can see here, the deaths (dead seths) stack up quite a bit as time goes on.
They all gotta go somewhere, right?
The ghosts of each Seth representative from each doomed timeline eventually arrives here.
This is our clock tower in the underworld. This is the first thing most seths see upon arrival.
(Surprisingly the tower was already here when I got here. I'm not sure who designed it, but they seemed to have had our decor tastes in mind, for the most part.)
At this point, I approach them and tell them of their fate, with the help of my Seth Directory tome. Each and every Seth that is dead has an entry in here, though sometimes the entries only appear upon first meeting.
While we're here, I might as well read my entry:
Seth "Thanatos"Age: 13
If any lost souls that aren't of Seth show up here however, we usually just scare and/or threaten them off. (I don't have a proper reaper's license for handing others besides those of the same template anyhow. I wish I had a proper reaper's license though.) There's plenty of other places for them to go in the underworld, so they can eff off.
Now that this has been explained, I'd like to hear what additional questions any of you might have for me or any of the other Seths. Any information that is directly later in the game depicting Alpha Seth's adventure will be placed in spoiler tags so as to not interfere with the enjoyment of the game.
