WIKI ?????

long time no see, lovely people!

i was looking for something completely random and accidentally found out that the inn has an entry on the rpg maker wiki and i am absolutely s h o o k e t h. my tiny game, made while i was learning to use rpg maker... it has a wiki article. i have no words to describe how that feels. whoever added it, i love you

in addition, the game has over 1350 downloads at the moment. might not be much to some, but it is amazing to me, especially considering i have not really updated it or done anything else about it in years. and yet, every time i take a look, the number goes up for at least a little. it is a beautiful feeling, i gotta say

in conclusion, thank you, all of you, who in any way interacted with the game. i don't know what else to say as i am still kinda speechless

the revamp is here! ^_^

after almost two years, the long promised revamp is here! the changes are mostly aesthetic, with a few tiny dialogue and gameplay ones.

i hope you decide to spend some time at this renovated inn and that you enjoy it. please let me know if you find any bugs, errors, or anything else that a respectable establishment such as this one should not have.

and thanks once more to everyone who has decided to give my little game a try, and to those who will in the future :3

one year

it has been a year since i completed the inn. who would have thought? i most definitely would not. it has been an interesting year, life changing in many ways for me, and among all the important things that have happened, one that certainly shocked me, surprised me, and warmed my heart, was this game getting almost nine hundred downloads (it is so close to a thousand !!!). honestly, i never expected even a quarter of that number, so seeing that little three digit number next to 'total downloads' steadily rise... it was amazing. i know there are games more successful, more popular, and most definitely better than the inn, but the inn is my baby, and i honestly made it without any expectations from the community, so for me, all of this is definitely asdfghjkl material. i would like to say thank you once more to everyone who checked it out, played it, commented on it, rated it, or anything else. you are all true mvp-s <3



i also keep wanting to revamp so many things in the game, especially the maps, but real life keeps getting in the way... i really hope i will manage to do it, though. i am very much aware the maps that i have right now are extremely basic and could be much better done xD

bamboozled again

i have been really sick during the week (don't do that, kids, it sucks) and today i am finally feeling better, so i came here to check what's up. i was greeted with 700 downloads.

seven hundred.

that is... a number i never even dared to hope for. i mean, i know it is nothing compared to what some games on this site have, but for me, it is unbelievable (in some incredible case that i get 1000 downloads one day, i will probably just die on the spot). i expected two or three hundred downloads max, but probably even less. and yet... here we are.

and nobody is hating the game! that is even more incredible! like, people are definitely mentioning all the flaws, and i am aware there are many, but nobody yet has been like 'i hate the inn, it is the worst game ever' (and considering how little i know of rpg maker engine, and how i knew even less when i made the game... i am not saying i expected some comments like that, but well, i did expect much less positive feedback and reactions and everything else).

basically, every time i see my baby game getting more downloads, i am just like, how is this possible? how is it possible that so many people looked at this game, basic as it is, and decided 'yeah, with all the other amazing games on the site, i also wanna play this'?

so i am just sitting here, amazed once again, and so grateful to all of you who decided my game was worth playing. thank you, thank you so much! (and also thanks to those of you who, hopefully, make that decision in the future too xD)

FREAKING OUT !!! (but in a positive way)

i just found out that someone lp-ed the inn and that the video has 1.1k views and i am absolutely freaking out, even though they actually liked it, but still, this is too much for my heart, that is so many views, and there are no hate comments or anything, some are even positive, and i just can't, i randomly searched youtube, not expecting to find anything, but i found this and it is just too much for my little me this late at night *insert some dancing-and-panicking-at-the-same-time gif here*

it is here!

the first version of the game, both for windows and mac, is here. please let me know if you find any bugs, typos, or any other kind of mistakes ^-^

i have to admit i am quite afraid that everything will suck, but well, i guess it has to suck in the beginning to be better later.

also, in the first scene, something kinda weird happens with the fire (when you approach it from the right), and i can't figure out how to change it, so if anyone knows what's up, please, let me know, i am only a humble beginner ;_;
