Excellent graphics doesn't equate to a good game.

Prelude is a "story driven" game created by charblar using RPG Maker VX Ace.

You play as a girl who goes on a camping trip with her father. You learn that her father is an alcoholic that hardly pays any attention to her. The girl's only friend is Kiwi (a small bird that follows the character around.) The "goal" of the game is to go to a cliff and look at the stars. When you reach the cliff you get to make a wish.

As you make your way to the cliff to make your wish you come upon scattered beer bottles. The girl needs to interact with the beer bottles in order to progress to the next map.

As you walk slowly towards your destination you will learn more about the girl through black screens with text. While the story of the girl may be moving, the way its conveyed is annoying. There's a point in the game where you are at the edge of the map. Instead of being transferred to the next map, after reading the text, you are transferred back to the same map. And there's a point near the cave mouth where every 3 steps equals a black screen with text.

The graphics might be good, but seriously you'll be looking at this most of the time.

I also found the sound of the game to be completely lacking. This is the sort of game that needs the emotion of music. Text just isn't enough to drive the point home. I can see how finding the right music might be difficult, but I think it would have been completely worth it.

That leaves us with what's right with the game. The graphics created by unity are absolutely excellent as always. The forest, cave, and the stars are mapped very well. This game is a graphical masterpiece. But that doesn't mean the game is good. There's no real game play and the game is rather short. While the story is dark and foreboding, it's not developed correctly. There just isn't enough here to get overly attached to the character. And at the end of the day that was the point of this game. I give this game a 2 / 5.

I didn't really think this would get another review/need one but I did just update it because of the Spanish thing so thank you for the review, I've been thinking about the game recently even though I did make it like half a year ago with people looking into it again and it really isn't the best game. Thank you though I'll keep this all in mind.
