Fist of all, wow. Just wow. o_o (Also, the ending was hilarious -- what could have caused that overflow error, though? Buster Cannon displayed fine... Perhaps Neok could explain.) What were your levels/equipment? :o Oh and for the secret character vid, what will you do for Tinder? Using the Zero-System would actually be counter-productive, since his EX's damage increases proportional to his HP.

My levels should be largely irrelevant as I just bought enough enhancers to max the relevant stats to 999, though they range anywhere from 25-85. Hell, my main party ranges from about 68-85 right now. My Indy is really low level even though I tried to level her some and my Erin is way over leveled as she was used to help power-level about half of the secret characters before I got access to the devices.

For Tinder, I planned to do it with both Zero Systems and X-Systems in order to see if the passive boost is actually any good or if it's better to just toss it aside for the Zero System.

Finally, as for gear I'll go ahead and cross-post it from the video description:

Sync - Zero System
Sync - Zero System
Armor - Celestial Sphere/Ace Blazer
Gear - *Element* Bolster
Mode - Chaos

For the bolsters, I used whichever one was relevant to the character at hand. WPN moves got Flame Bolster while any moves with inherent elements got a bolster to match.

post=argh
Anyway, why did you include Providence? It doesn't do anything other than give those boost statuses, so it can't be amplified in any way. Or were you just including it because you were including every other EX attack?

It's just as you said. By including it, I covered every EX move in the main cast.

post=argh
On a related note, why did you include Sniper, Ravage, and Voltage Dial as well? Were you simply trying to use as many abilities as possible?

I included those, each for a different reason despite the fact that they're not EX moves.

Sniper was included as it was Erin's best damaging move.

Ravage was included because of it getting it's own boosts via Dread's ultimate weapon and that interested me. I wanted a best case scenario to see what it was capable of doing with the best possible base damage +%. Using his ultimate and an X-System, it would be diminished a good bit from what the video shows, but you'd need nothing more than to gain 1 EX & 3 AP per turn to have him use it every round. Not to mention that it would be ideal to keep Dread at full health with that setup as opposed to as near death as you can get him. That also lets you give your good gear to other characters who can actually utilize it much better than Dread could.

Voltage Dial I was just curious about. I wanted to see how that compared to Jake's Temporal Stasis. Temporal Stasis was stronger, but only beat it out by like 40k or so.

Mostly it was just to see if Ravage and Voltage Dial would be a bit more efficient than their EX moves. Which it seems that they might just be depending on the situation.

post=argh
Also, if you're just looking for big numbers, I'm pretty sure that First Aid actually heals slightly more than Second Aid...

Gah, figures that would be the case. Oh well. If I had known at the time, then that would have been made an exception as well, like Ravage, Voltage Dial, and etc.

post=argh
(Oh, I'm not sure if this is notable, but you have Lavitz in your party while showing off Temporal Stasis, Orbital Assault, Indignant Variati, Shooting Star, and Ether Breaker. Since you split the videos to avoid spoilering the secret characters, maybe you shouldn't have included her...? I dunno if it's really that important.)

Heh, whoops! Totally missed that fact. Well, I did originally just try to break the damage cap with Violet so that's probably why I left Lavitz in and forgot. I've actually already got a video of her with the above gear doing Swallow Dance. It does seem to take a solid second place so far. If Shooting Star's last hit was basically 100k, then they'd be roughly equal damage wise.

Alter A.I.L.A. Genesis

Whoops! Totally forgot about my EX exhibition after I had basically finished recording all the main cast. Here it is:

Tell me if I screwed anything up. I'll go ahead and get started on the recording for the secret characters' video now. I don't like leaving my projects unfinished, but sometimes things do distract one (stupid minecraft...).

I've been told that I broke your game in the past, Neok, but this time I did it for real. Enjoy those Shooting Stars of Doom at the end. I was quite stunned after the first one.

Otherwise, I hope it meets with everyone's expectations.

Alter A.I.L.A. Genesis

So, I've not finished with the EX Exhibition yet. I blame this stupid video. It kept begging me to make it once I had thought of the idea for it and wouldn't shut up until I did.

See, I "discovered" a secret EX move for the final hidden character and.... Ok, not really, but just check out the link below if you're cool with seeing spoilers detailing the final boss and the final hidden character in a A.I.L.A./"Tales of" parody.

It's spoileriffic, kids!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUP-1rodB2A

I hope it meets everyone's approval. :D

Heh, I just realized... I "Altered A.I.L.A."! One might even go as far as to say I made an Alter A.I.L.A. "variant". Yeah, ok, I'm done trying to be funny now so you guys can stop rolling your eyes now ;).

Needing some opinions

@J-Man: Wow, you totally read my mind. That was one of the first teams I looked for on that list.

Neok, I'll have to second your idea of the themed teams. I like the thoughts of some of those teams. Pretty much every group from Tinder's Gang down sounds like a hoot. I'm especially liking the sound of Demo Squad, Flower Power, and Strong Bros.

Aww, it looks like the double attacks only work with characters' upper tier moves, like Frost Diver and Volt Dial. :(

I also haven't gotten a triple attack yet, though I'm getting the hang of doubles.

You should try it with Dread's Ravage. From my tests so far, it hits ridiculously hard for a 1 EX move and with virtually no setup costs.

I think I'm going to put up a video detailing each character's maximum damage capacity (at least, this will be the best I can do with everything in the game and nigh unlimited money). It might as well be an EX exhibition, though.

I'll go ahead and say that so far I've managed to break the game completely with Violet. Apparently I managed to deal so much damage it refused to display the damage dealt by the final hit of Shooting Star both times I tested it. I've also managed to get either 99999 damage hits with several other characters or multiple lesser hits that add up to over 100k with the exception of only Erin so far (it's not 99999, but it's still an epically good Second Aid). I've also been including some of their normal moves where appropriate (so far, just Ravage and Sniper). You guys think I should go back and just include all of a character's damaging moves?

When I finish recording them all, I'll post two videos. One for the main characters and one for the optional characters to help avoid unwanted spoilers.

It's the greatest targeting glitch!! If you select an ability while your previous character is attacking, the character will select the new target for their attack. Thing is, if you do it quick enough, you can nail both the previous target and the new one. I have a theory that this can be done twice (resulting in 3 attacks). I dunno if this works with EX moves since you can't target enemies during the attack. (Can you?)

I've already done a double Frost Diver with Violet and double Ether Round with Leon. I'm now looking for a triple Buster Cannon.

o_O; Seriously!? Holy crap... I'd like to see it done with my Violet setup, as I've managed to obtain about an 80% improvement over my other video so far. It looks like the random element didn't quite come close to max either time, leaving several low values on hits (apparently 7-10k/hit is a bit low and ~30k/hit is approaching the peak so far w/ about a 50-60k peak on the final blow) I can say, that as long as you select a character before the EX animation begins, you can go ahead and choose their action and it's recipient. Now if only this setup were capable of surviving to get the buffs and use this glitch, then not even the behemoth could survive the onslaught... I've only used this to prevent enemies to act between my actions before, though. I never knew about this glitch so I don't know how it'll act with the above information.

Oh wow... I wonder what Triple Swallow Dance would be like...

Ah well, if you pull off the Triple Buster Cannon of Doom, iloveflash, I'd love to see it if possible. I'd like to see an enemy take like 150k damage in 3 hits before it could even blink.

@missileboater: Best of luck when you take on the behemoth at a lower level. The best tactic I was able to come up with was trying to stall him out with Al Di La on Erin & Toxication. But there was absolutely no room error, and it proved rather frustrating when I would be a touch slow on the draw to issue a guard command. I can safely say that if you don't have roughly 3300-3500 HP if you decide to use a HP draining sync then you're probably toast. It tends to leave no room for errors or HP totals less than 100%.

I still have no clue of how to get a party strategy for the behemoth at low levels. It feels like I'd spend all day reviving and watching them do nothing but die cause they're not fast enough...

Alter A.I.L.A. Genesis

With respects to the hidden room:

Wow... I finally, finally found it. I can't believe what the trick was in the end (as to what it was: well-played, sir, well-played! That was fairly amusing.), but I figured it out at last. It was just like he said, you'll know the minute you get it.

Now that I've gotten everything of note in the game, maybe I ought to give the damage cap one last try with everything from the post game instead of just what I was able to get before I cleared it initially. I don't think I'll improve it much, but if I manage to pull off anything noteworthy I'll be back with details.

Also, while I'm still on the subject of AAG, I found a glitch in the post-game content.

So, at one point I just decided to completely reset my post-game content (bad idea, I know...) and tried to redo it all, in order to try one of my ideas to get to the hidden room in the O.P. Core (which ultimately failed, but inspired me with an entire new idea in the end). When the shadow battles for the main characters reset, I noticed that you couldn't obtain an additional copy of their uber weapons... unless it happens to be for Dread. After beating Dread's shadow a second time, I received a second copy of his uber weapon. I have no idea if it can stack with itself or how unbalanced it is to have 2 of his weapon, but it's clearly not intentional based on the other 9 character's shadows not giving a second copy of theirs.

With this, unless you're hiding anymore surprises I think I've finally finished AAG completely. I must say, I can't wait for AAV to answer some of the unanswered questions AAG left, and especially so with that last curveball you threw me. Thank you for making this, and putting up with so many of my questions along the way. Even though there were a couple of annoying bugs left in the initial release, I have to congratulate you on a job well done. If AAG is any indication of what you can do with AAV, I'm now highly interested (moreso than I was before anyway) in seeing where you go with it.

What Neok said about the fourth wall sparked my interest last night. I've literally 5 minutes to convey this info now, so I'll be brief and give a more detailed report later.

When he said break the fourth wall fourth wall in the core, I began to ponder the various meanings.

First, I thought about LITERALLY breaking the FOURTH wall. On the way into the core, there are several restricted areas, most of which vanish on return trips after clearing the core. Alas, searching the back and foreground of Restricted Area 4 yielded no results. Nor did any of the other areas.

Second, I considered the other meaning. Acting with the knowledge that you are in a video game. This resulted in an interesting glitch when the area began collapsing. I was able to walk in the air by moving into the foreground and backtracking a bit. Unfortunately, I found no secrets doing this. It can hardly be said I was thorough, as once I triggered the glitch I couldn't progress any further and was trapped in the area I'd managed to walk into. Also, a great deal of that area is covered by blocks, which I can't see and easily move through.

Lastly, I'll note that I remember that there is another section to your right after the High Octane Nightmare Fuel induced Face Maze that I couldn't seem to access easily on my second trip through the maze after hearing this. No idea how to get there as of yet, but perhaps someone else could share.

OH! Before I forget, I checked every cell at the end of the maze and yielded nothing, but forgot to check the foreground now that I reflect on it.

I personally found Shade Bit to be quite easy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ssqew7k09u0

Audio's muted due to copyright by Avex Entertainment, Inc. though (damn), so hopefully you won't mind the silence.

Man, wish I had a bajillion HP when I fought him... :P That would have made life way easier.

You didn't even have to put up with the really annoying features of that fight. Like the potential for someone to take over 4500 points of damage in one turn. Or the fact that each crystal randomly kills one of your party members when it dies (Erin was a favorite and it also liked whoever was getting the next turn, whatever seemed to hurt most at the time...). Or that stupid Erin seeking (it has NEVER targeted any other character than her in the three times I've fought it and it was used at least once each time) Lethargizer E that sets your AP to 0 at the most inopportune moments, basically causing you to lose a turn, period. Or all the nasty crush statuses that laser causes (in the worst case, stealing your turn with EX crush, cause you don't even know you have it thanks to the Speed Boost you've inevitably applied...). I mean, it's all cool since it's an optional boss, and almost hilarious considering some of the exceptionally bad luck I had. I mean, Neok surely wouldn't have installed character targeting preferences in the DBS, right? ;) But that bad luck doesn't make it much less nasty.

I'm curious if you can just blow through the post Orbital Prison optional boss like you did with Shade Bit, now...

Alter A.I.L.A. Genesis

Aww, looks like Missileboater beat me to the Behemoth. Good job, man. Not that it means that I'm not still going to try to do it eventually. ;P

As for Orbital Prison boss stuff...

Yeah, I thought Nightmare was a bit of a break compared to Shadow Bit, and the 4 orb thingies. Your fight went as smoothly as mine and I'm about 10-20 levels under you with my main team. Especially compared to Shadow Bit. Of course, just like Ultima Weapon was meant to "prepare" you for the final boss, Shadow Bit is meant to prepare you for a soon to be boss as well. At least, that's the impression I got from each fight as they used the same gimmicks as the final boss/super optional boss.

As for your recording style, nice job. You showed us your levels and gear setup, then went straight to business. Bonus points for having original sound instead of some kind of crappy music instead.
