e: realtalk though I would like this way more if you drew out the people in this instead of just copypasting their avs. they don't even need to be good drawings! I just love seeing how people interpret other people online.

Oh well, I thought it was funny. I guess I'll have to do 10x better on my next one. :)
@mawk: Truth be told, I "suck" at drawing stuff (unless I spend a really good long time on it, it usually just turns out like crap. I wanted to do the "avatar" approach because it doesn't take as much time and I...guess I just wanted to do something...stupidly easy? I dunno why).
Hmmm...maybe I need to shoot for something smaller that leads up the joke quicker than a long winded plot.
(I just hope somebody else likes it...)

like I said, the art doesn't have to be good! just go with what works and I guarantee it'll have more personality than copy-pasted avs.

B-But it boosted numbers! And we now have more peeps! A-And the money had already been raised before the event even began... it'd make more sense if it were the RSW event, but I guess that was too successful to count against this Liberty person as a negative. :/
For what it's worth, I don't mind the images as they are, though hand-drawn does have a certain charm, even when it's not super-epic awesome. Look at Cyanide and Happiness for example.

I was serious when I talked about making this a succession thing, btw. get people together and make community comics! should be interesting no matter how it turns out.
What's truly nefarious about the "powers-that-be" penchant for events, is that they first urge the people to pollute the site with half-assed stuff, and because of their inability to properly judge these events (We're still waiting for the results of the past two events) they create another event to trick US into doing THEIR job... Well played, people in the top echelons of the community. Well played. :|
