I’m actually going to be watching them all this weekend (‘cept for maybe the Miami V Pittsburgh game). Screw watching hockey this weekend – the NFL’s where it’s at (…at least until the end of the weekend).

Anyways, I’ve got Pittsburgh over Miami, Oakland edging out a close one against Houston, Detroit upsetting Seattle at home (Yeah, I know, I'm crazy) and Green Bay over the New York Giants in a high scoring affair. We’ll see how I do.

But, yeah – anybody else gonna watch any of the NFL playoff games this weekend - or am I the only one? (I am the only one, ain't I?) :(

Its the NFL playoffs this weekend?
Yeppers! And not only did I struck out on both playoff games - but the Canucks lost as well, lol.

Maybe Sunday will be much better.

Nobody does that anymore...at least not in this decade.
I might turn on the Superbowl, if only to the look on Goodell's face when he hands the Lombardi trophy to Tom Brady
Don’t forget Bill Belichick, too!

Although I wouldn’t mind somebody else winning the Superbowl this year that hasn’t won it that often for a change, like the Cowboys, or the Packers – or even the Kansas City Chiefs! Just ANYBODY but the Patriots again.

And thanks to Green Bay and Pittsburgh’s wins - I came out this with a messily 2-2 record on the weekend. Not terrible, but not too good either…
So I’ll make another prediction again for this week’s Divisional games (…even though I’ve got a baaaaad feeling about this):

New England over Houston – 44 to 16
I know that Houston has a bit of a grudge with these guys over the years, since the Pats have beaten them in the playoffs before countless times – and usually I would go for Houston in this sort of situation – but the Pats are the Pats for a reason and they’re a much more complete team than the Texans are. Sorry Texans.

Kansas City over Pittsburgh – 21 to 17
I expect this to be a good one. Both teams are capable enough of winning this game outright, but the Steelers have a few key injuries that might prevent them at being at their fullest come this time, and Kansas City has been pretty solid all year ‘round and have been building this team for a while now. Chiefs win a close one.

Green Bay over Dallas – 35 to 18
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers have been playing out of their minds for the past couple of months now. I was pretty impressed when they played the Giants last weekend that they absolutely smashed that defence and clobbered them good (despite taking ‘till the 4th quarter to get things going). The Cowboys are the best team in the NFC and have a wide array of good players and receivers on their side, but the Packers have that swagger coming in and that playoff experience that might just give them the edge.

Atlanta over Seattle – 24 to 10
Seattle’s been kind of a streaky team these past couple of weeks. One week they’re killing everybody and the next week they’re complete shit. I’m really not too sure about this one. I think the Falcons are a little underrated here and they don’t get nearly the respect that they should get. Sure, they play in a weak division with the hapless Saints and Bucs – but most of those teams aren’t too bad, and they’ve beaten their fair share of elite teams this year. Plus I think after all the playoff failures in the past for Matt Ryan and company, this is the year that they wanna finally prove themselves.
Since the conference championship games are going to be on pretty soon, I might as well make a prediction on it.

Last week I went 3-1 with Kansas City being the only ones who let me down. (Or was that refs that let them down? Whatever.) I’m now up to 5-3 overall!

Anyways…

New England over Pittsburgh - 49 to 31
Should be a good one. It will be interesting to see if the Pats can stop the run and put a halt on Pittsburgh’s offence, but I have to imagine that the Patriots will win this one at home and head off for another Superbowl title again. Although part of me would like the Steelers to win this one, I just don’t see it happening here.

Green Bay over Atlanta – 26 to 20
Will Matt Ryan and the Falcons manage to choke again on the big stage? Probably not so much here, but this one should be pretty entertaining to watch. Julio Jones comes back for Atlanta after being side-lined the last game and a bit for Atlanta, so that should help the Falcons a lot. Despite the Packers playing well against the Cowboys last week for most of the game, it still took them ‘till the final couple of seconds and a well-timely placed field goal to get them here today. I would imagine that this one will be awfully close again, probably ending up going to overtime or something like that. Atlanta definitely has improved a lot watching them play last week against the Seahawks and all season long, but with this miraculous Packers run and how well Aaron Rodgers has been playing as of late it’s hard for me not to vote for them to win it again here.
